Pros: ⢠We attended the Vampire room last Friday night. The clues and the story were wonderful. I really enjoyed collaborating with my friends. I had a blast working through each clue and unlocking our way forward. ⢠We did get stuck a couple times as time was going to expire and our game master did a great job nudging us along with more subtle information. ⢠The intro and rules was presented in a very fun way explaining the business needs but also informing us as needed. ⢠Staff was very friendly. All in in really fun experience.
Cons: ⢠I probably didnāt need to get on my hands and knees and glance under furniture and shelves, but I did and I saw a lot of dust balls. Gave me the sense this place isnāt cleaned regularly. And that was my judgement in the dark, I can only image with the lights turned on. For a Friday night āPrime timeā I would hope this place is in top shape. While I do appreciate the gallon sanitizer at the front that is not a solution for regular business cleaning. I would recommend you get a professional cleaning company to come out regularly. ⢠If I was at a concert where the band is traveling from city to city I totally get taping the merchandise to the selling area. But for a brick and mortar store you should take a more professional approach to displaying these materials that are for sale. ⢠The chairs in the waiting area and rules area seem very run down and remind me of an 80ās principal office. I would recommend getting these updated. For $25 tickets I just feel like the business keep up, cleanliness and furniture should be more elevated and professional. I think the wall of pictures, professional graphic print and foam boards of success/failure is good but it seems like it drops off from there. This might be a place I would do a team building with my close coworkers, but based on the condition this isnāt a place I would invite my Manager and Senior Director who fly in from out of town...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE I came in with some friends on Saturday October 8th at around 5:45 in the evening. We were between an excape room and a movie, so we decided to do an escape room. When we got there tge door was locked with a sign that read "of the door is locked ring the bell." So I rang the bell and one of the employees came to unlock the door (white guy with a beard and glasses). He was VERY rude and condescending, his whole attitude was very unprofessional and not customer friendly. It was my first time booking an escape room here so I had some questions. I asked simple questions like "we wanted to do the escape room please, do I need to do the reservation online or can I do it here right now? He responded "yes"???? I ask him "what are you saying yes to?" He said yes to the reservation online. I said "so I can't make the reservation here with you? I have to go online and do it?" He responded and said "yeah, I can do it if you want," then he said when did you want to do it? I said "today," he said the only one we have available starts at 8:00, I said "8:00? But what time do y'all close?" He said with a rude tone "we close at 8:00, but now we are goingvto close at 9:00 because you made a 8:00 reservation and we never get 8:00 reservation great!" He took my information and I asked was that all he needed from me and he said with attitude "yeah" and asked "will I get a phone call when it's time for my reservation?" He said again with attitude "yeah." After leaving and talking about how terrible his attitude was we decided to go to the movies instead, and needless to say I didn't get a return call about my reservation either. If you are interested in doing an escape room, I will recommend going to another one in the area. Don't give your money to get mistreated by an upset employee, that's mad for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Mission X a few years ago and had a great experience, so I went for my birthday this year and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any escape room.
Our GM was nice when we first got there and since there were only two of us, we knew we'd probably have a hard time since most rooms are meant for more than two. That being said, the room itself (Vampire Manor) was not very well designed.
Information was presented to us far earlier than it should have been and the puzzles were ultra specific so that if you missed a single thing, you'd be stuck for 5-10 minutes wondering what you did wrong. Not only that, but there were tons of places that could have been used to hide clues that turned out to be empty, but you had to take the time to try every little thing so you didn't miss the one spot that actually had a clue.
Most of the way through the room, we got stuck on a puzzle and it took a significant amount of time for us to get our GM to help us - he was resetting another room and therefore wasn't even paying attention to our progress. Not only that, but he talked down to us when we didn't immediately understand the puzzle that he told us many people have a hard time with.
On our way out the door, our GM said "congratulations on escaping!" as soon as we were within earshot of the next group he was letting in, even though we did NOT escape, so he absolutely lied to make the next group think we did well. I don't think we intend to return as long...
