Aldi grocery stores are great for no frills/ lowest prices on fresh produce, meat, fish, bakery and dairy. It's where we go to get all the basics and then some. They have an aisle where they stock "Aldi Finds," where you can "find" all sorts of interesting items not regularly stocked there, from clothes, to shoes or rain boots to seasonal items to electronics, small appliances, travel items, childrens books, bedding, household or garden items! You never know what you might "find" that week as the items are different each week. They have a double your moneyback guarantee. If you don't love the item, they'll replace it or give your money back. I have only returned one item in many years of shopping at Aldi. I asked for a replacement for a newly purchased product that was not expired, but smelled rancid and they promptly refunded my money as there was no replacement available at the time. I did not need a double money back and refused that. I have occasionally purchased a bag of some type of produce and found one item inside spoiled, but that has also happened at any other grocery store I've been to because fresh produce does spoil or gets damaged in shipping, etc. I appreciate the option to do self check outs at this location since there can be long lines because they do not always have lots of staffing to check folks out. There is almost always at least one aisle that is staffed for check out for those who prefer that. You can bring your own bags or use empty boxes from the shelves or purchase their bags for a nominal amount. Their staff always seems friendly and helpful. I appreciate their low prices and don't mind "no frills." You can buy smaller quantities of items at comparable prices to big box or warehouse stores without having to purchase the huge packages that you might not have room to store or use before they spoil. And if you forget your quarter to borrow their carts (you get it back when you return the cart to the cart corral spot,) the staff can loan you one or there is almost always someone willing to give you their cart on their way out. I like to pay it forward. Easy way to be kind for only...
Read moreI love Aldi but not today. On 02/15/25 at noon it was very busy. I only needed to get milk. I drink lactose-free milk. The boxes of this milk are on the top shelf for some reason. In the boxes there are four regular whole milk and two skim milk at the back. I have to remove all the regular whole milk to get to them. I put the whole milk in other places in the refrigerator so I could get to the milk at the back and then get to the next box. I buy a lot of milk at once because it stays good for a months and I can't get to the store as often as I'd like to. A lady that works there came over and started putting the whole milk back in the boxes before I was done. I said I was sorry and she admitted they should not be in the same box but that's the way they are sent to them. She had an angry look on her face didn't look at me and rushed through putting them back to make sure I knew I was a burden. I said again that I was sorry but didn't know what else to do. She said that I could have asked someone to help me. I said then you would have to do it, and I didn't want to bother her. I was very embarrassed she made me feel like a piece of crap. Why are people so mean to each other? This is how it should have gone. She should have come up to me with a smile and said "hi can I help you?" while looking at me. Is that...
Read moreI wonder if it’s the staff and employees at Aldi understand that a paying customer is in fact paying for the products they pick up and bring to the cash register or if they are unhappy because they have to work for the wages they presently earn and take issue with the customer? I was attempting to buy vegetables a I do weekly and the cashier has an issue with me purchasing a large quantity of the same vegetable. It’s not my problem if someone else doesn’t get the vegetable items I’m purchasing, I’m shopping for me and my family. He said “I can sell half of them but not all”. I kindly stated no worries, I’ll take my business elsewhere and enjoy your role here at Aldi. Funny thing about it is my spouse is white and I am not. He received no push back or unnecessary commentary from the same white employee. Aldi, you may want to provide some training for your employees and encourage them to keep their personal feelings out of work matters. It’s only produce. If you’re rationing what is in the store then please add signs limiting the quantity ALL customers can take at one time. We will take our business elsewhere. Good luck with your...
