Quality and integrity are shown not only in their successes, but also in their mistakes. I went tonight, opening night, and waited in line and ordered 2 pizzas, a half salad and a beverage. After ordering I waited for take out, grabbed my ordered and headed home. Unfortunately I found when I got home that I'd received 2 of the same pizza instead of the 2 different varieties that I'd ordered. I called the store right away, hoping to get a refund for the difference in price for the incorrect pizza and let them know, just in case someone else had gotten my correct pizza. The manager I believe, answered the phone and before I could even finish explaining, he asked it it was the "order for Ana?" They'd caught the mistake shortly after if left and they'd already refunded my FULL order and were offering to not only remake the correct pizza, but run it out to the car for me if I wanted them to (they had a line to the door and it was raining.). I told them it was fine, I'd just try the other pizza on my next visit. They were incredibly apologetic and I wasn't even upset in the first place! I know the first day is crazy! Top notch customer service!
Now for the pizza... this was my very first visit to any Punch Pizza, I'd heard good things and I've been looking forward to visiting for months, waiting for the new Eagan location to open. It really was as amazing as I'd heard! (The Margherita Extra) So fresh and delicious and cooked perfectly. And the Punch Salad is absolutely perfect! Even with a line out the door on day one, they quality was outstanding and the flavor was perfect.
I'm very happy, impressed and looking forward to...
Read moreUpdate 7/12/25: They discontinued the fabulous gluten-free crust, replacing it with what I’m guessing is Udi’s or a similarly blah and tasteless crust. It’s devastating. I realize they struggled to keep enough of the previous gf crust in supply to meet demand, but now I don’t plan to order from them at all anymore. Ugh. So disappointed. I suppose for kids who can’t have gluten and don’t care about crust quality, it’ll be fine. But for adults…I’d say save your money and buy one of the many better gf pizza crusts you can buy at your local supermarket. Or check out one of the other local restaurants still investing in good-quality gf products for their customers.
This review is specifically for their new gluten-free crust, which is apparently different from their previous gf crust, although it too was amazing. Can I just say how hard it is to get one’s hands on truly delicious gluten-free pizza crust?! Especially when dining out. Most restaurants take the lazy route, subbing in the cardboard-like, flavorless crust from the ubiquitous gf grocery brand I won’t name, but you all know what I’m talking about. Punch, by contrast, managed to get their hands on a gluten-free crust that is chewy and delicious, virtually indistinguishable from its gluten-filled counterpart. Add to it Punch’s always fresh toppings, and I honestly could eat here every other day and never get tired of it. THANK YOU, Punch, for working so hard to create a gluten-free pizza alternative that doesn’t feel like a sad consolation prize for those of us who can’t enjoy...
Read moreMy daughter's favorite pizza in the whole world is Punch Pizza, so when we saw the Eagan location so close to us, and near other shopping places we needed to go to, we had to go! We've been Punch fans since 2012, when we went to the original location in St. Paul. We went to the Eagan Punch on a Wednesday afternoon, right before dinner rush. We waited in line behind one couple, and it took 5+ minutes before it was our turn. By the time our order was taken and we sat down, the line was out the door! At the St. Paul location, we never waited in line for more than 1 minute & we got our pizza in approximately 3 minutes!!! In Eagan it was close to 10 minutes before we had our pizza. We also got a flatbread appetizer with olive oil, rosemary and rock sea salt, and it was SOOO salty we had to scrape it off because it burnt our lips! The pizza crust was soggy on the bottom, so that was disappointing too. We always order a margherita pizza with pepperoni. At the St. Paul and Minneapolis Punch Pizzas, the basil is arranged neatly around the pizza... at Punch Eagan, it was crumpled and haphazardly tossed onto only one side of the pizza and very uneven. Despite those few issues, the flavor was the same Punch that we'd grown to love in the city locations. We'll probably still order at the Eagan location, but without the flatbread, and we'll try to go in between meal rush times. If you haven't tried Punch, you...
