Let me begin by saying there are some employees of this store who go above and beyond their job description to be helpful and provide excellent customer service. To them i extend my sincere and heartfelt thanks. Unfortunately this does not extend to several of the other employees..
Today i shopped this location..the second time since we have been on lock down...but today will be the last time i shop here. Masks are to be worn by everyone in the store. Silly me to expect masks to be worn correctly to cover the nose and mouth of every person.
The last time i shopped this store it was the first day that masks had been recommended..very few people were wearing masks..this included various vendors stocking shelves with specific products as well as other employees. It was early moring..during the time set aside for vunerable populations to shop.
Today I observed multiple people with masks looped to their ears..however their nose..and in one case even the mouth was exposed. I spoke to 7 of these people asking them to please pull up their mask. Of most concern..was that 6 of the 7 people i spoke to who were not wearing masks correctly were EMPLOYEES! One was even dressed in the uniform of what i believe is a cleaning/ sanitation crew member who was stationed in the lobby of the store..in an area where every patron walks past both on their way in..and way out of the store.
I also observed a " huddle" of employees of the on coming shift who were being counseled to ensure that patrons follow guidelines..but these employees were questioning the authority of the person instructing them. This group included a team member with their nose exposed.
Where was management? Where is corporate? Where is common sense? I will not shop here again...it is not...

Itās so bad I always chose to go through a check out line with a cashier even if thereās a line. Though today there was no cashier to go to so I had no option but to go thru self check out. š© I literally had only 1 item and thereās was no one around but me, yet the moment I step up to the self checkout register a lady who was walking around stands directly in front of me staring at me! š It feels so insulting especially being a person of color because we deal with being the target of racial profiling in stores so often so needless to say I go out of my way not to shop at this location. There was even a time I visited this store when as soon as I had to go to the self checkout register an older lady walked directly up to me to and began scanning my items for me without me even asking for her help. š® If shoplifting at this location is that big of an issue, I feel they should find another less offensive approach than this. Thereās never a lot of traffic whenever I do have to shop at this location and this seems like the reason why because everyone I know says the same thing about...

Today, after waiting for the cashier to finish texting, I found out an item that was ābuy two get one freeā had been significantly marked up from the price I was used to; however, the current price sign had beenārather conspicuouslyāabsent from the display. Because I caught this after paying, I was instructed that I had to go to the customer service counter to get a refund. After waiting in a long line for 20+ minutes I was met with a rude, and immediately adversarial, employee who told me I couldnāt return anything. After a brief argument I was given a refund, but the tone of the whole interaction was unpleasant to say the least. All this again after shopping for years with poorly stocked items and increasingly poor customer service. Luckily there are inexpensive delivery services available from other stores, which will now be my preferred method for grocery shopping.
