Wow! What a beautiful campus. We were surprised at how "college like"it felt while nestled inside a town. Don't miss out on touring this college if you are worried about it being too close to a town for safety. It feels very separate, but close enough to enjoy the beautiful Easton town. The buildings and grounds are very well maintained and they are absolutely beautiful. The football field is fantastic and the school spirit at games is palpable. Walking the campus I quickly noticed how friendly and happy the kids all were. School swag is proudly worn by the students and I felt they went out of their way to smile or make you feel welcome on campus. Lafayette is everything you think a college should be and more. Update* having one semester under our belts I can honestly say this school is perfect. Our child is thriving academically and socially. The school has given our child support when needed and so many opportunities it's incredible. I can not say enough about how happy we are with...
Read moreMoved in here a couple of months ago after I got evicted from my previous living situation last may. It's a nice little community, but I wouldn't recommend it long term. Rooms come furnished, which sounds nice until you see the furniture. The neighborhood is pretty interesting though, it's got this really cool atmosphere that's like part quirky college town and part crack den. The night life is killer, but not in a good way. I'm right across the street from two drinking cults, which is pretty much what passes for a night club here, and on weekends the place itself pretty much turns into one. It's actually pretty fun until around midnight when an ambulance inevitably shows up to ferry away some poor partygoer who doesn't know how to handle themselves, and all of the trashcans, sidewalks, and bathrooms reek of vomit. So far I've enjoyed my stay at the trailer park, but I honestly couldn't recommend it to anyone without an exceptionally strong stomach or the inability...
Read moreI have found Lafayette College to be a close-knit community of students/faculty/staff/alumni. Students are very friendly and as keen learners are personal credits for any agency or company. There are two brands of the College: an excellent student/teacher relationship and very kind, devoted alumni. This combination makes for a more than relevant, far-seeing preparation of each student for his/her career and future role in their communities.
I have had long and satisfying relationships with the geology and history departments and with the Lafayette College Crew Club. Other alumni are close with their respective engineering and liberal arts programs. A few of my friends return often to play in the annual Alumni vs Student...
