I was a regular customer of Don Juan during my upperclassmen years at Lafayette College. It was on March Street at the time and it was the only location for Don Juan. This place is more than just a restaurant. Not only that the food is great (WAY better than Chipotle), the owner Juan is great. One moment I will remember. When I was a senior at Lafayette, during my final semester (spring 2014), I was dealing with graduation anxiety, recent death of a high school peer, and dealing with a difficult toxic person from my hometown persistently messaging/stalking me, all at the same time - but one time I ordered delivery from Don Juan to my academic building, Juan did the driving and he noticed I was in a bad mood upon arrival. He and I did chat a bit to make me feel better. After graduating Lafayette, I'd still visit the area every once in a while and grab food at Don Juan. The new location is great and the food selections and taste only got better. I also am impressed that Don Juan went from a standalone restaurant to a Lehigh Valley chain in a matter of years. The wait time is also minimal and the staff is awesome, even in the age of COVID-19 crisis. Can't wait to grab...
Read moreOk, I am going to be as honest as possible. I enjoy going to Don Juan’s from time to time for a good Empanada, Chimichanga, Burrito, etc. I would say the food is usually pretty tasty. The problem I have with it lately especially when it comes to the beef empanadas is that they are WAY TOO SALTY which takes away from the other condiments that flavor them. This can be said for a few other of their specialties like the Chimi’s as well. I am not one to usually complain but I think it’s important for ownership to realize some people who are borderline to high blood sufferers would definitely need to be aware before eating there. I might be a little more health conscious than most but I just think it would be to everyone’s benefit if they could lower the ridiculous amounts of salt added to a lot of their meat dishes. In the long run it would be best for everyone’s health and Don...
Read moreOrdered off of door dash. Driver came and delivered. Missing multiple items in the order. Contacted driver and he said that’s what they gave him. Fair enough, he’s just the driver and can’t credit us because it’s what the restraint handed him. I get it. Call Don Juan to get them to take it off our bill or credit us. Girl answering the phone has no idea how to do it. Ask for manager or person in charge to do it, they’re not there and no one else in the entire place can apparently work the door dash tablet. I wouldn’t post this review if they would just have people there properly trained to credit our card for the $30 of missing food. Instead got a “can you come here tomorrow?” Like come on....
