There's only one place in this center to which I go, and that is Piazza Italian Market and Cafe. I have been going there since they opened, probably 10 years ago. Owner Emily Price is a true student of Italian food, likely learned at her mother's side. Mom used to be there every day, but I haven't seen her in a while. My guess is the business has grown so nicely, that she is happily enjoying life outside the kitchen as well. The inventory of the market is mainly imported from Italy. You can get items in this store that you may not find in cities of much greater size. Emily has also found local sources for many items such as baked goods. Her breads are fabulous. The deli counter features cheeses and meats (the Parma Cotto ham makes me delirious!) are incredibly good, sliced in front of you and securely packed. I get olive oil by the gallon tin, and I save the best for last. The prepared and packaged entrees are so good, I now drive a nearly 200 mile round trip every month just to stock up. The lasagnas come in three or four different sauces, all homemade, the other pastas as well. The prepared pizzas are delectable, the soups and sauces are all there, ready to take home and warm up. I can't say enough good, but I can say how happy the last ten years - watching Emily prosper as her "family" grows - has been. I cannot recommend this hometown (Easton, MD)...
