DARLINGS! USUSHI is it! BINGO has been called with this unknown but rapidly growing since we have started tripping on this treasure after a Matinee with one of Lupe's favorite Divas Lady Gaga and the very lovely Bradley Cooper in a decent remake of the BRILLIANT judy, Judy, JUDY and Classicly Magnificent sjames, Sjames, SJAMES MASON of A STAR IS BORN! and forget Babs' rock and snore version A STAR IS BORED. anyways...the Sargeant and I fell across this...he LOVES Sushi and Sashimi! like raw meat. except fish. Lupe loves the other great Japanese options. USUSHI's wasp inspired Cali Rolls (you know....no raw fish for Lupe...HOLD THE RAW TUNA!!!) Tempura dishes, and their brilliant PORK or CHICKEN KATSU! oh my...like a brilliant Wiener Schneitzel! perfection! so it ain't all about fishies! the green house salad with that neon sesame dressing and God Forbid nothing ICEBERG chilled to perfection lettuce is...flawless. and? USUSHI'S homemade Wonton Soup beats EVERY Chinoise joint in the area...and then some. FLAVOR! USUSUSHI'S Double Tartar is outrageously smooth round of Culinary Heaven! the Age Fried Tofu Appetizer is also wonderful...and Lupe has NEVER understood Tofu. this is light divinity, as are their Spring Rolls. so while the Sargeant gets the BEST JAPANESE Sushi/Shasimi FINE DINING anyplace(!) Lupe gets what she likes. and PERFECT for a diet...if you want to tighten up some of the nasty brutal oncoming age weight with very simple HEALTHY options! and yes, the interior is simple and classic, the servers are spot on and care. just make sure YOU communicate! their first language is NOT MacDonald's Menu American! and the lovely Hostess/manager CHRISTINE is also a Treasure to Talbot County's Superior Cullinary Retaurants! Lupe knows them ALL! very well. (we'll talk over Grey Goose up chilled to perfection DRY Martini's). she is very shy! but? get to know her!!! she is a class act and does it well! a word to the wise! oh! and WONDERFUL Sakes!!!! Ciao Bellos! ...
Read moreTruly if I could rate this establishment with zero stars I would. Food was mediocre at best. The service however was absolutely atrocious and the most unprofessional I’ve ever experienced. My friend and I have gone to this restaurant twice for food and on the first occasion we were asked how the service was after giving no tip to which we replied that it was “good”. It was nothing special and the server got our food incorrect- giving us an extra roll we never asked for and completely forgetting one of our items which resulted in no tip. This last time the service declined even further. Our server declined to give us a kids hibachi meal as my friend was not younger than 12 but this was not an issue last time when he was under the impression he would be getting tipped. After this they took over 40 minutes to bring out ONE single California roll when i had ordered 3 and I then had to wait an additional 20 minutes to receive my remaining two. All of the while people sat after us were already receiving their food. Understandably when we went to pay, we did not leave a tip as the service was substandard. We were then given a lecture by the woman at the front desk about how it is supposedly a requirement to tip at an establishment if the service is good IN FRONT of other customers.
We proceeded to explain that a tip is earned and not a given and with the amateur service we received we did not find that it was earned. Furthermore, if this is an expectation then it should be included in the receipt. I myself have worked in the food industry and fully understand how important tips are but never in a million years would I ever embarrass customers and try to intimidate them into giving a tip.
I advise anyone looking to get sushi to go to Sakura for better quality food and staff that aren’t entitled brats. Never will I ever give my money to an establishment that tries to bully their customers into giving tips when they have not been earned and I suggest everyone else...
Read moreHappened here by accident, but some accidents are great!! The dump across the street needs to hire people who are in "hospitality" like here. Dropped $60 on lunch with tip for me and my wife, and she loved it more than me, and i had the one above sushi dinner #1 i think, she had hibachi shrimp, DINNERS! Here is why we came here:
I was already disappointed with the amish market, but when i looked up directions i looked up food and found InJapan. Read the reviews, watched the videos, and looked at all the photos. When i parked and told my wife we were having lunch there her face lit the F up! Shes like really?! I'm like yeah, looked it up when i got the directions. We walk in, the chicks on the phone taking an order, doesnt smile, doesnt greet us (most "adults" can multi-task) and asks 3 diffrerent times, "anything else", which is fine, i am thinking, you're an untrained punk kid, most of us are use to it, but when, 1, 2, 3 people came from the back, and the bartender put her cake up on the counter behind her, and there was 2 people over at the "hotplate" i turned to my wife, and why is the greeter taking orders?! Seriously!?Nope, we're out of here.
So as we're leaving, i see the ledos pizza, and was like, oh babe, we ate there in another state before lets hit that, so we buzz across the street , ONLY TO SEE another Sushi place! That i am telling you right now, was a, what do you freaks say, "blessing"!!! It had people in there eating, multiple tables, and the door didnt even finish closing behind us and the woman stop speaking to the person next to us and sat us. THAT IS SERVICE!! Dropped $60 on luch with tip! NOW!! To post THIS Over on their site about this unhospitable eatery. This place is good enough for you, if you came out of the farmers market tho, you...
