Shopping here saved us a decent amount of money and just be wary.... that savings will cost you in other ways.... First, the washer/dryer combo we purchased had "Scratches" on them. So, the price was a bit lower. Ok. that's fine (at the time of shopping). Well, when they were delivered, there were multiple issues.
First, the delivery people... They showed up in an Enterprise Rent-a-truck. What? Well, they were also fluent in the English language. They didn't speak but just a few words. Then I guess, even though I requested for hall-a-way, the sales person didn't put it on the receipt/bill. This shows up in the delivery person's paperwork that they won't get hauled away. They argued with me multiple times and requested that I open my garage door so they could just put them in my garage. I asked for their company name and their names. After that request, they said they would take them. UGH!!! Horrible!
Then, when I went to install, the dryer was sooo banged up that the feet were smashed and they wouldn't level the dryer. I had stands so I leveled with the stands. After hours of hooking them up, the washer worked fine but the dryer wouldn't dry. It ran fine but NO HEAT! I pulled them back and tested my gas line. It was fine. So, I tried to call Best Buy Outlet. And then I found out that the outlet store has no phone number. None! Best Buy said I had to go in to get an exchange/refund or whatever. This was Saturday afternoon. I had to wait till Monday to go in. When I went in, I explained all my issues with the dryer, delivery people, the lack of being able to call them and so on. Also, since I purchased a matched pair, I wanted the exact same one. Well, guess what. they didn't have one. So, after asking for a manager and waiting over 30 minutes, they finally came back and said that they could give me a new dryer for the same price. Well, Well, this is good! Then the delivery date would be AFTER the 4th of July. But, they finally came back and got me a date for Saturday BEFORE the 4th. The second delivery people were actually Best buy employees (so note: The Outlet doesn't use the Best Buy delivery people). Second delivery people were great!
So, The Best Buy Outlet store DOES NOT 100% test the stuff they sell or this dryer not being able to dry would have been discovered and not sold to us. BUYER BEWARE
If the manager/employee wouldn't have gotten me a new dryer AND upped the delivery (this was because the dryer came from Best Buy AND NOT the Outlet), This would be a 1 or 2 star review.
So... Since I had a company come out to diagnosis my issue with the original washer (before BB Outlet), and had to wait due to a scheduled vacation, We went 23 days without a washer and dryer. (Not BB Outlet's Fault but wanted to vent).
Yah, we ran out of favors from our friends and neighbors.
Also, if you decide to buy something from the Outlet store AND put it in your car (No Delivery), you WILL GET a $50 discount on anything. This is a plus that was...
Read moreWe have had a mixed experience with the Outlet. To date the staff members at the outlet itself have been good. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The whole thing has gone sideways trying to get our purchase delivered. We purchased an open box washer and dryer set. They contractors they use for the delivery called and left a message saying they would be there in 40 minutes and “call back if you want to”. I didn’t call back as I was busy dealing with a separate issue. 2 hours went by and no delivery. I attempted to call the contractor phone back but got no answer and the VM was not set up. After two attempts I called Best Buy and was put on hold for what felt like forever. When the lady came back she said the contractors would be there in 5 minutes. They were there in less then three. Where had they been for the past two hours? Language barriers prevented me from getting an answer to that. The did appear to be agitated when they arrived. The unloaded and installed the dryer but the wash machine was dented so severely it looked as if the machine would no longer function properly. So we sent it back. We had to go back to the store to pick out another one but I couldn’t set up the new delivery because the item was still marked as “in transit “. So, I had to call back the next day and set it all up. Again, staff at BB Outlet were great. I did tell them that I had to work until 3 on the delivery date so the latest delivery would be needed. He acknowledged that. Fast forward a week and the delivery is set. The automated call said delivery was from 12-4 but my son was going to be home so I didn’t think there was going to be an issue. They did not come at 12 nor at the latest time. Instead they came at 10am! On top of that they declined to deliver because they needed to have someone over 18 in the house. So, now I have to wait again to reschedule AGAIN! Good Grief Best Buy, figure out your contractor situation for all...
Read moreI had a great experience shopping here. I wish I could give 6 stars to this place. If you are buying appliances, check out Best Buy outlet. I planned to buy a fridge for our basement. I work across the street from this place, so decided to stop by. There were tons of selections of fridges, washers/dryers, ovens, and TVs. In the end, I didn’t buy a fridge, but got a sweet deal on a 70 in Samsung TV. Two weeks later, my “new” TV stopped working. I called Samsung customer support. It looked like it would take weeks for them to send someone over for repair. Knowing purchases at Best Buy outlet are nonreturnable, I still stopped by the store to try my luck. I explained my situation to a person working there (who is also the same buy helped me to load the TV to my car last time). He grabbed his manager over and the manager offered to exchange the TV! Luckily, there was one same model left in the store. So I hauled over my old one and got the new TV home. Everything works so smoothly. The new one is 50 bucks more expensive. They didn’t even ask me to pay the extra. Before you go there, please set your expectation. 1) This is not your typical appliance shopping experience. It’s more like a warehouse. But it’s organized fairly well. People are very friendly and helpful. They are willing to go extra mile to help you out; 2) Shipping may not be free. You may have to pay for shipping (at least for fridge) if you need it; 3) some products have dent and scratches. Make sure you know where they are and decide if they are acceptable to you; 4) Since everything sold here is open-box, returned, or floor model, ask yourself if you really mind; 5) come back frequently. I’ve been here a few times. It seems the inventory is updated weekly. I noticed price may go down if the product stays in the store for a while. But I can’t be...
