State and Liberty — Local services in Edina

This is my new favorite store for men's dress shirts. I've tried everywhere: Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Macy's, Brooks Brothers, J Crew, and Banana Republic, to name a few. The cut is similar to Banana Republic: fits great for athletes. But the material at State and Liberty is so much better.

Pros: The material has massive stretch, is machine washable, has reinforced collars and cuffs, and features nice little touches to make a great dress shirt. I wear these dress shirts with a tie in court and untucked for casual evenings out. If you have an athletic build, check them out.

Cons: Sizes are limited. This isn't for average guys. This is for guys who play sports, work out, or are otherwise in great shape. If the cut fits you, you will love this store. It's worth...

I originally ordered my suit online but had difficulty getting it tailored locally. While visiting Minneapolis, I stopped by this State and Liberty store to see if they could help out. They recommended Anne at Unique Tailor which happened to be just a few stores down. Anne did a great job with the alterations! Grant at State and Liberty was super helpful with the process and made sure my suit was shipped to me in South Dakota in a timely manner. Let first start by saying I genuinely hate shopping for clothes. I’m an amateur bodybuilder so almost nothing ever fits. I walked into this store and got greeted by three stylish dude who knew what they were doing. I bought two suits and a couple shirts. The sizing, the stretch etc was perfect. Never in my life have I had clothes fit like this. Geno and the crew were super attentive and easy to work with. They even offered me a beverage as I walked it.
