Edmond Health Care Center — Local services in Edmond

Okay guys! I waited awhile to do this review. I have watched and visited and now I am announcing my assessment and I don’t see why Edmond Healthcare center has such bad ratings because they have been excellent with mom since she got there in October of 2018 and now I have the privilege of getting daddy the best care there too. They are attentive and go out of their way to make my mom feel at home and loved. She is an Alzheimer’s and diabetes patient so she has her bad days but it makes no difference to that team of sweethearts there they are a staff full of love. I have been supported more at the Edmond Healthcare center then anywhere! My poor little dad has had to put her there after 62 years of marriage and move in with me. He had a heart attack December 12 and was in the hospital for 2 weeks and the skilled nursing facility at The Timbers in Edmond. DO NOT TAKE A LOVED ONE TO THE TIMBERS! They neglected my dad and neglected to tell me that he was in an ambulance headed back to the hospital in distress! I love Marty and her staff...

my mother has been here for 2 years and it is not going good for her. She has lost so much weight and the lunches and snacks EHCC provides are less that filling. The snacks are not healthy , goldfish , crackers and animal cookies?? On one visit my mom's drinking cup was so dirty it had old milk and water mixed together. I had to wash it to assure that it got cleaned. It was gross to say the least. We take clothes and socks for her and they get marked but don't seem to make it back to her after being washed. we buy her hair bands and ties and those also have disappeared. she isn't happy at all now and doesn't want to even leave the room.

the facility isn't clean most of the time and seems they are always having problems with staffing. I feel really bad I decided on this nursing home and am checking into making a change closer to my home so I can make sure she is in good hands

If i could do less than 1 star i would. Very few good staff. Most of them are rude. Poor care. If your loved one has to be fed and they dont feel like it then the person is fed cold food. If the person needs care they ignore them even with person begging. If they decide your loved one is to much trouble they will move them somewhere else and tell you last minute that it is happening. No input from POA/Guardian. No permission to send the information. Then inform you that you have to get the personal items and move them yourself. Again last minute so you don't have time to make arrangements. PUT A CAMARA...
