I was a member for over 2 years, and loved every minute of it. I had a hot desk membership and found that there was always space for me, and even a monitor although I tended to arrive late morning. There are also two phone booths to use for meetings which I really appreciated, because I can be loud.
Coffee all day every day! They also have cold brew, kombucha, and beer. The bathrooms are stocked with hair things and feminine products. There are nice places to take a break, like the kitchen area or the lobby with a beautiful huge fishtank. The woodwork all over the building is something to behold.
The staff were always helpful and I never once had a negative experience with anyone in the building, staff or otherwise. The best way I can put it is - good vibes.
It was also great to have access to conference rooms to book. Even though I was the only person at my employer who belonged to Workhorse, I was able to book the meeting rooms with my co-workers so we had an in-person place to work on occassion.
The neighborhood is pleasant. Easy access to food, the beach, and downtown Edmonds. It's easy to get their both by bus transit and car. There is a 3hr parking limit but it's generally easy to find parking.
I left recently only because of logistical reasons that had nothing to do with Workhorse. I hope to be back someday. If you are looking for a place in Edmonds to do productive work, network, or feel like an adult working for a few hours (remote workers with kids know what I'm talking about) this...
Read moreLeave it to the "website church" folks to not know people use slightly different names on the Internet 😘 Edit: novel long passive aggressive replies get you moved to 1 star. Enjoy! As another member mentioned they love messing with your stuff when you're not around at this place. A dedicated desk is 300$ a month at this place which is already a rip off (200$ if you agree to a year) and you get to pay for the privilege of having your desk chair moved, adjusted or swapped for another while you're gone. Your personal equipment like mouse keyboard and monitor are also likely to be moved around while you're not there. Additionally they have been saying for over a year they are going to do something about the chairs in the hot desk and lunch areas and they simply haven't. It's just a talking point they like to repeat when you inevitably complain about the uncomfortable chairs and stools that they put in this place. I am personally a tech professional at a large company - this place caters more to people who have Instagram businesses and run home stealing airbnbs. They recently hosted something called "website church"🤮 and most of the info they gave there was not something a professional would recommend. So don't expect to get anything out of the workshops and lunch and learns if you don't have a small business.
I'd recommend you pass on the rip off of this place and go to a real co...
Read moreA home away from home. A clean, quiet, beautiful space in a perfect location to walk to the beach or feel the sunlight. I highly recommend going here on a sunny day in the afternoon and get any seat near the windows (I love the booth seats) and feel the sunlight, see the sky, and use this as one of your most productive times of the day. Some of the things I love about this space also include: the phone booth so I can take a call while being there but not bother anyone else, free drinks (coffee, Kombucha and beer!), and a space to go to work that isn't home! It's always extremely clean and there's always room for anyone who wants to be there - with space for social distancing available. I love to go here to get out of the monotony of being at home working. Whether I stop by for an hour or more, I always get more work done there than anywhere else. I recommend this space to anyone working remotely temporarily or permanently. It's a great space with a great vibe and atmosphere. Sometimes we don't realize how much we need a second option for our work area until we start to utilize a new area , and we see the change it makes in us and our...
