What a difference a great set of knitting needles makes!! I went in a week or two ago to buy a couple circular needles for a project I'm working on and after talking to the (owner?) for awhile, I decided to buy the whole chiaogoo set. I love the time she spent with me to make sure I had a set that I truly LOVE! Every time I come in, I feel like I'm talking to a friend - she gives great advice, has this "fun" energy, and the store is stocked with great products.

Tara is an incredible knitting instructor. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and kind. Stranded by the Sea offers a variety of different yarns, as well as guided projects. Additionally, the shop is cozy and feels like home. Prices are fair, especially for the quality of the products. This is a great place for socializing with other knitters as well, since Tara hosts virtual knitting socials. :-) Thank you so much for helping me to knit my first sock!

This store is a treat! It has yarns of all sorts, from marvelous often used yarns to special hand dyed yarns in beautiful colors and fibers. It also has spinning fibers, which can be hard to find now that all our fiber festivals are on pause. Tara was very friendly. While I was browsing she very patiently helped a beginning knitter get her project started. I can recommend Stranded by The Sea wholeheartedly.

Easy to miss, but so worth tracking down. Stranded by the Sea has a wonderful collection of yarn and fiber. Most of it is really reasonable priced and they have regular community events for everyone to attend. The inside of the shop has a quaint whimsy to it that exudes creativity and they have the cheapest knitting and crochet kits around. Their real specialty lies in their spinning supplies. If you live in Snohomish county, they are your best place to stock up for spinning supplies, they have all sorts of tools and fibers at a few different price points and a socials around spinning if you are new and want to learn.
