Before stepping into Ella Blu, I was nervous. I wasn’t sure how things were going to go. I had never been dress shopping before, and I figured I’d be really picky and unsure about everything. I had appointments lined up at a couple of other shops, both before and after Ella Blu, just to cover my bases.
But once I spoke with (I believe her name was) Andrea over the phone, I instantly felt at ease. She made such a good impression—warm, helpful, and genuinely excited for me—that I ended up canceling the earlier appointment. Ella Blu became my first stop, and I’m so glad it did.
When we arrived, our stylist Megan greeted us, and she was fantastic from the start. I showed her just one photo of a dress I liked, and without missing a beat, she brought out six different options that captured the same feel but offered different styles. She listened, gave suggestions, and created a space that felt easy and pressure-free. I told her I was open to trying anything, and she really took that to heart.
Megan was sweet, patient, and so easy to get along with. Everyone in my bridal party commented on how lucky we were to have her—she really was the perfect fit for us. Honestly, we could’ve talked with her for hours. She made the whole experience feel personal, not transactional.
And Andrea was just as lovely in person as she was on the phone. It really felt like every person we interacted with at Ella Blu genuinely cared.
By the end of the appointment, I found my dress after only 3 dresses. I canceled the next shop without hesitation. That’s how good the experience was.

Read moreI would like to start off by saying that Ella Blu had a fabulous selection of wedding dresses and their consultants were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. My issues arose with regards to alterations after buying my dress. I was told by my consultant to call 2-3 months in advance for an alterations appointment. Knowing my wedding date was during a busy time of year, I opted to call sooner and tried to get an appointment 4 months in advance. To my surprise, I was told there were only 2 possible appointments for me at that time, one over a month from my wedding date and one only 2 weeks before. I took the 2 week prior appointment to ensure the best possible fit, and was dismayed to find that the seamstress spoke very little English. My Spanish is severely lacking & I left the appointment feeling very unconfident that my alterations would be done correctly due to the communication barrier. I had left a veil to be shortened and was just needed small adjustments to the fit of my gown. When we picked up my dress/veil 2 days prior to my wedding date, I found out the veil wasn’t worked on at all and remained at the original length. Additionally, a long train was added to my dress when that was never discussed. Overall, I figured it was too late for any adjustments and having already paid for these alterations when I picked up the dress, I just went with the flow and wore the dress/skipped the veil. Read moreI visited Ella Blu on two occasions and was helped by Lindsey. The first was for my initial wedding dress try on. I didn't purchase my dress the initial time because I had scheduled two other try ons at two other local shops in El Paso as well as a scheduled try on out of town. I decided to cancel my out of town try on because I figured having to travel, fittings, traveling with a dress etc. would be entirely too much added unnecessary stress. Long story short I went to the other two large local wedding dress shops here in town, I was treated very kindly by the staff at both locations but was underwhelmed with the dress designs, quality and materials. I ended up returning to Ella Blu. Lindsey helped me the second time as well and I ended up purchasing two wedding dresses as well as my wedding veil at Ella Blu. Lindsey made the process all very easy from start to finish. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. Ella Blu is clean, let me emphasize that CLEAN! My experience was fast, easy, everyone I came in contact with was very kind and helpful. The dresses are great quality, they have a wonderful and vast selection, the pricing I feel is great, I honestly imagined I would spend much more for the quality of gowns I purchased. Overall a lovely and stress free experience. My gowns are schedules to arrive mid January 2022. At that time I will be once again fitted and their in-house seamstresses will make any adjustments my gowns may require at that time.
