Well now. I have been to three sushi places here in El Paso. 1.Sunnys sushi 2.Hayashi on Yarbrough 3.and this place. I have also been to other sushi places in the country, and the first two really dont compare(Sunnys comes close) But man the food is good here. Portions are well above what I expected(a roll is 8 pieces but the pieces are big for sushi rolls) of course they bring the miso soup and salad as well. My wife ordered the bento box, which of course was well portioned ,plus the food was actually good. That came with 5 cali rolls, the main entree(terriyaki beef),and tempura. I rarely if ever leave 5s anywhere I go,but this place really met and surpassed my expectations. Only downfall is the limited space of the establishment , and I always like my drinks served in glass not plastic. Yes I am picky like that. The service was good too btw, polite guys . This place is far better than Sunnys(both locations, especially the horizon one) and the Steakhouse on Yarbrough. Keep it up guys!
Edit: I need to update this review. Everything stays the same for the food, portions etc....only thing is,our waiter wasnt very attentive even though there were a decent amount staffed.Im gonna have to drop down to three stars. I had got him before,he wasnt bad. This time though,he completely forgot about us towards the end and didnt bring us what we asked for nor our refills. I had to get up and ask for the check and refills. So if the manager sees this, please train the staff that service is just as important as the quality of food.
EDIT:Just want to add that we have not gone back since my last edit. Service...
Read moreWe’ve always enjoyed Sushi Garden, and I have great respect for the owner—she’s a truly lovely person. However, during a recent lunch visit, the service fell short of expectations.
There was only one server on duty (a man with glasses), and while I understand lunch can be a busy time, his demeanor was less than courteous. I ordered three lunch meals, two of which were for my children. When the food arrived, I noticed the chicken had sauce on top and mentioned that my kids likely wouldn’t eat it that way. I asked if it could be served without sauce, and instead of a helpful or understanding response, he gave me an attitude and a look that felt unnecessarily dismissive. He replied, “Usually the chicken comes with sauce on top,” which would have been helpful to know earlier, though I understand it was my oversight not to clarify when ordering.
Every restaurant serves katsu chicken differently, and I simply hoped for a bit more flexibility and professionalism. We still enjoy the food and atmosphere, but the service on this occasion...

The sushi here is simply exploding with flavor - each bite is a delicious explosion of taste and texture that will leave your taste buds begging for more.
But what really sets this place apart is its affordability. Despite the incredible quality of the food, the prices here are shockingly reasonable. And with lunch specials starting at just 6 dollars.
Of course, it's not just the food that makes this place great. The ambiance is wonderful too, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying your meal with friends and loved ones. And the staff is incredibly helpful, always happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions you may have.
Two sushi rolls were enough to make us full and happy, and we can't wait to come back and try more. So if you're in the area and looking for some amazing sushi, be sure to check this place out - you won't be...
