1-Star Review – Absolutely Horrible Experience at LowBrow Palace I waited MONTHS to see Wet Leg live at LowBrow Palace. Sadly, this venue absolutely ruined what should’ve been an amazing night. I’ve never felt so disrespected and treated so poorly at a concert venue in my life. Even before getting anywhere near the entrance, staff started their over-the-top “security” protocol a block away from the actual doors. I had a red Solo cup with a small amount of beer in it (not even near the venue yet) and this incredibly rude female bouncer (big build, very aggressive) snatched it from me and threw the drink out without a word of explanation. My husband had an iced coffee, and she did the same to him. Shocked, I probably made a face because it was just so unexpected. Suddenly, she pokes me on the shoulder and starts interrogating me: "Are you okay? Are you okay?" Like I was some kind of threat. I calmly said yes but explained that it felt really rude and uncalled for to have my drink tossed when I wasn’t even inside the venue. Then out of nowhere, she says: “That’s it! You’re not going in.” Seriously?? For expressing surprise about how I was treated? She then went to the “supervisor” and she was even meaner! I was told, “You’re not special.” I was humiliated, singled out, and denied entry after holding tickets for months. Eventually, after I apologized (several times), she made me wait 15 minutes on the side like a child on time out. I did get let in after that, but by then the night was already ruined. I felt more like I was going through airport customs than arriving at a concert I paid to enjoy. The security at LowBrow is an absolute joke, drunk on power, completely unprofessional, and seem to genuinely enjoy trying to ruin people’s nights. They act like they own the entire public block and treat guests like criminals before they even step foot inside. This venue books amazing artists, and it’s a real shame because the talent deserves so much better than this toxic, power-tripping staff. Artists, PLEASE think twice before booking here. And concertgoers, be warned. You’ll be treated with zero respect, humiliated, and possibly even denied entry… for doing absolutely...

Every time I've been here I've never had a good interaction with any employee. The ID checker and ticket scanners are impolite and disrespectful at times; when buying band merch, there was once a girl that would not acknowledge me when I was standing quite literally in front of her, and the bartenders are just as uninviting as well. Also, the beers here are almost $10 for a small can? The customer service here is clearly lacking.
The shows themselves are quite fun. I've seen Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail, Movements, and STRFKR, so they attract a decent variety of indie artists here which I really appreciate.
As far as the sound quality, most of the time it is decent, although during the Soccer Mommy show, the singer kept asking for her monitors to be turned up and nobody was helping her. She must've asked at least 5 times but yet nothing changed. From the audience it sounded decent.
I've been to the lowbrow many times, and I can consistently say that this relocation is not what I expected. Although I'm very grateful we have a venue like this in our city, I just feel very unsatisfied and underwhelmed whenever I visit for a show. I think the management should be doing more to make the place seem more unique and inviting. Most importantly, It doesn't carry any of the charm that the old...
Read moreVery horrible treatment from the female guard. Not only was I discriminated from when I stepped out of a car which in the eyes of the law is a private room. I was in the side walk with a closed 1 dollar shot. I was told if I was planned on entering to let them dispose of it. I complied was not going in yet she was forcing her self and being aggressive with her time and threaten. I bought a delta 8 vape from a smoke shop and when showing her what I had to be respectful I was threatened on cops coming. I showed it is a delta 8 vape and legal in texas and explained how its a public side walk, how I just had stepped out of the Uber wasn't planning to go in; was trying to show them the most respect. I felt very discriminated they made us lose 80 dollars on tickets embarrassed me and threatened me from all that, when I explained how I'm not doing a crime. Hate crimes I get from the club and local artists associated to there corrupt production team splendid productions is very overwhelming and needs to end. I sometimes feel they are washing money for mexican cartels and with the clubs, local artists, and there local media teams they feel abbove the law ...everyone. That ego is dangerous to society segregated in social groups by odd clubs in a border town. This business and people need to be stopped ✋️ IG:...
