El California Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in El Paso

One of approximately 6-8 Mexican fast food restaurant in a 12 square block radius. With so much competition would seem the service would be a little better than having to wait 15 minute's until the waitresses are done talking about their private issue's amongst themselves before taking you're order. The amount of food vs price doesn't really compare to their competitors, then they attempt to nickel and dime you by literally charging you for everything to include a to go baggie. So why 3 stars? Well they seem to be clean, once you order the food is done in a timely matter and for me personally location work's.... it's been about a month since my visit and haven't been back. Service was excellent was checked on 3 times and food was possessed quickly and tasted excellent.

My meal was the Mexican plate at 10.50 cooked perfect, rice and beans tasted good Chile relleno was great along with the beef taco with freshly cut lettuce and tomatos. This decent meal sure satisfied my stomach and the employees were top notch performance 11/10 helping out every one that was seated, and while entering i can tell this place is a buissness that takes care of their customers that come to their doors.

I ordered the chicken mole on the daily specials list. It looked good when it was brought to my plate. I took my 1st bite and there was something in it. I pulled it out of my mouth and it was aluminum foil. I used my fork to move the mole around and there was more aluminum foil in the mole. I notified the waitress and she offered to get me another plate. I declined because it was apparent that the mole was contaminated, probably from the left over burritos from the day or 2 before.
