The Alibi Bar & Grill — Restaurant in El Paso

The Alibi is hands-down one of the best spots I’ve been to lately, and a big part of that is thanks to the incredible bartender. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in good hands. The energy behind the bar was on point—fast, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every drink was made with care and precision, and the vibe was chill but professional. You could tell this wasn’t just someone doing their job—it was someone who owned their craft. Also, major shoutout to Chuki, the guy who greeted me at the door. Friendly, cool, and made sure I felt welcome from the jump. That kind of first impression sets the tone, and the team at The Alibi didn’t miss a beat from there.

And I’ve gotta give a big shoutout to Roger in the kitchen. He just started cooking there, but you’d never guess it—he came out swinging with some of the best food I’ve had in a minute. The flavor, the presentation, everything was on point. You can tell he’s got real talent and passion behind what he’s doing. The Alibi clearly has something special going on, from front of house to the kitchen. Solid drinks, great food, and even better people. Can’t wait...

Working downtown we had to try a new place but unfortunately this place left much to desire. Felt like they were still doing a soft opening. Ordered tacos (pastor/asada) and both meats appeared to be the same. The food was cold which leads me to believe they heat up vs cook to order, it just didn’t taste fresh (all 3 of us agreed). The tacos are very small but that’s expected when they are all sold a la carte. The salsa (both green and pico) had zero salt and no flavor and they didn’t have any onions or cilantro for the tacos, they also didn’t have any tater tots. For those who might be into tap beer they don’t have any, all is bottle selection from what I could tell. The liquor selection is minimal as well.
