I want to take the time to express my gratitude to the staff of the MVHR for the manner in which they rendered service to me and my family during the COVID outbreak.
The conscientious manner in which they expedited the care for various members of my family was not exclusive to us, but to the general pubic as well. This was quite evident from the intake, wherein a well organized process allowed incoming patients to be expedited, to the administration personnel that ensured that resources were readily available to meet the needs of all patients.
Unfortunately, I was not able to catch the names of all the folks that rendered service, but starting with the person at the door that ensured incoming patients filled out the appropriate intake forms; to the folks taking our temperature prior to entering the facility; to the orderlies that displayed a compassionate care for the elderly patients that required special care; to those folks staffing the nurse's station, which effectively managed the various operations and processes.
Of particular distinction were the administrators, of which I identified Diana Murillo, as being exceptionally helpful. Ms. Murillo demonstrated management skills that seemed to empower medical personnel, which in turn, promoted an authentic, compassionate, and individual attention to many of the patients. Considering these trying times of COVID, it was quite reassuring that these professionals took the time to allay our concerns, and provide the treatment patients seek.
Lastly, I must note, the clean and pleasant environment of the facility. Despite the hustle and bustle of incoming patients and medical personnel, I noticed the premises were quite clean, which gives one confidence that every detail is given attention. If that is the case, it is a certainty that patients are given the same exceptional attention, and this correlates to the quality of care provided.

Read moreDO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN THIS FACILITY ! Most of the staff was very negligent and careless towards people that needed extra care. Very hostile and unwelcoming environment. It was so depressing the residents were nicer than the employees.
My grandfather was transferred from the hospital to this facility on Friday afternoon and when we went to go visit him on Saturday afternoon he was found in the restroom with his colostomy bag off and he was trying to wash his hands and stop the liquid from coming out his port. No one had gone to check on him all night and they left the same colostomy bag on him (which needs to be changed often since the bike comes out faster due to him having 20% of his large intestine left) and thereâs no phones or buttons for him to use to call for help. The facility didnât have the right bags and didnât bother to ask him if he had any at home my grandmother had to leave and go get some from their house and bring them to the facility And let me tell you when we addressed issues and started asking questions they just sat at their desk and showed no sense of urgency and said theyâd go look and change his colostomy bag in a little and proceeded to just sit there Saturday 5/25 the following nurses were assigned to him Supervising Nurse - Claudia Nurse in Charge -Matthew
I had to call 911 and have them take him back to the hospital and guess what the EMTs took his vitals He was hypertensive, dehydrated and his port was getting infected Definitely got all the admins info to email a complaint with the treatment he received being there...
