BEWARE! If you need boat cushion replacement or recovering I highly recommend not utilizing Bob’s Upholstery. When I picked up and paid ($4,892) for my 28’ sailboat cushions I failed to adequately inspect them. When installed I noted the corners on one cushion had been rounded instead of square and the seams were wavy and Ill fitting on another cushion. Overall the seams were ill fitting and wavy on most of the cushions. Subsequently I noted that the weave pattern on 5 of the 6 main cushions do not align fore and aft in the boat. In the case of the v berth 3 cushions have 3 conflicting weave patterns. The 2 opposing cushions in the salon have different fabric alignment. I sent photos of the objectionable craftsmanship to the owner and he offered to recover “1” cushion if he could obtain the material. When I spoke with him this week he was uncivil, rude (hung up on me) and extremely unprofessional. Told them my wife was dropping the car off Friday morning 3 days in advance and I called the morning of to let them know. When my wife got there the guy was extremely rude saying we never told him she was coming and then he could not get the seat out and starting snatching and cussing and then threw his screw driver telling us she needed to come back another day and was so rude it made my wife extremely upset and crying. They left the seat loose and not seated right afterwards. And when I called to confront them about the man was extremely rude complaining about how he’s loosing business because we never told him. I have a brand new sectional couch I purchased from Ambrose furniture that had an issue with the corner section instead of replacing it they insisted on sending it out to Bob's for repair. We didn't feel comfortable about this and told Ambrose furniture. Well it went to Bob's and came back looking like it had been drug across a dirty floor not to mention dirty hand prints . Ambrose picked it up and then delivered it to us in this condition. After a few phone calls and photos sent to Ambrose we were finally delivered a new corner section to our house . So no stars at all for Bob's or Ambrose furniture. ( hardware to connect sectional back was also missing when delivered...
