February 13,2025 We went to Elizabeth City to have dinner with friends and to spend the night. After dinner we stopped by Kay’s to pick up the Wedding Band my friend’s husband had purchased for her, had sized and was ready. My husband and I had planned on going to Kay’s the next day. He purchased several items for me in August under warranty and they were due to be checked. I hadn’t brought the items with me when we went to dinner so I was just going to browse! When we walked in I was met with a “Hello” from Jennifer. She was our sales lady we had gotten to know from the very first time we were there in August. Brittany was also there and she had been the sales lady our friends first met the same time in August and who they continue to deal with. Both ladies are very helpful and personable. After browsing awhile, I asked Jennifer about earrings and she took me right over to where they were. Since the next day was Valentine’s Day my husband knew he wasn’t walking out of there empty handed! Then on the way out I spotted a different pair of earrings that would match the wedding ring and band my husband had purchased in August. Read moreMy husband purchased a Marquis diamond for me in 2012. I had it repaired four times because of a loose diamond.(same one) I have all receipts of repairs. The diamond fell out two weeks ago and I took it to be repaired again. The store manager said I would have to pay because it was out of warranty. I wasn’t aware it was out of warranty because emails about warranty were sent supposedly to my junk folder. I was one month late for warranty( Kay Jewelers policy) A printed receipt should be given upon every cleaning/ inspection . The ring was resized in November of 2020. Nothing recorded since that date. We have done several cleanings at different locations with no information asked. The diamond was viewed under lens and then cleaned. Read moreExcellent customer service from Ginger. She was very helpful and friendly. She brought all the rings to me that fit what I was looking for and showed them to me. She showed me a few other options as well just incase and so I could see them compared to other designs. I got to see different options in the book as well. She did not try to push me toward any engagement ring or wedding band. I really appreciated that. I learned a lot on this trip to Kay's on what I like and dislike as well as learning about quality, size, clarity, shape, color, etc. Ginger even cleaned my friend's engagement ring/diamond for free and checked the number on the ring and her ring was not bought at Kay's.
