My Corner Butcher — Local services in Elizabeth City

Went in on a whim, after reading about them on the internet. I bought a standing rib roast and a 2-pack of the flank steak florentine, and they did NOT disappoint!!!! We had the flank steak pinwheels the same night (superb!!!), and ended up cutting the roast in half. I cooked one of the halves of the roast, and my husband ate it straight out of the roasting pan! It was that wonderfully delicious! The next day, I had a piece for lunch, and I didn’t need a knife to cut it. It was still so amazingly tender, a knife wasn’t necessary! Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than meat purchased at the grocery store. But, boy oh boy, is it ever worth it! Lastly, it’s worth adding, when I initially entered the shop, I LOVED as to how clean the business is! Of course that reassures you that you’re buying from a seller who cares about the standards of the business! Bottom line…..it’s VERY MUCH SO worth spending a bit more money for exceptionally quality beef/meat! I’ll be returning this week for more items! Love these guys and gals! Job...

I don’t know why I keep trying to support this business. I bought a pork shoulder that was recommended to me by an employee, only to get home & realize it was rotten after opening. I have also purchased cheese, only to realize (again at home) that it was moldy. They don’t accept cash for payment & they seem to close the store during open hours, without any sort of info or heads up about it. Two times in one week I drove there and they were closed. (Checked online & there was no mention of this.) Their communication is lacking, as I’ve asked the same question 2x now via their social platforms & both times I have been ignored. NJ transplant, I was so homesick for our butcher shop back home. Then about a year ago we found my corner butcher, I'm so happy! Everything we've ever purchased has been awesome! Their store is so clean, customer service is top notch. Their prices aren't bad either! We don't go to a butcher for cheap, we go for the quality! Filet Mignon so tender you can cut it with a fork!
