Although a small restaurant, their food & staff are excellent! Very attentive and friendly. We eat here at least once a month. Their food is fresh & delicious! We ordered one of the Sushi & Sashimi platter (Item # 92 - $45) and barely finished it between 3 adults! The fish melts in your mouth! All the Sushi is fresh! I love everything we have tried so far. Kani Salad, Seaweed Salad, goyza dumplings, spring rolls, soft shelled crab, hibachi dinner, tempura (shrimp & vegetable), all kinds of rolls... love the Spider Roll! Since Elizabeth City doesn't have a Korean restaurant, their Beef Yakiniku is the closest to Korean Bulgogi we can get. Very thin sliced beef. Ask for the spicy red sauce on the side. They have a good selection of beverages. I enjoy the hot green tea. The restaurant is small and they do not take reservations. In the winter the dining room (especially close to the doors) can be cold. Otherwise excellent! Definitely give them a try!

First off, our waitress was kind and attentive. My review does not concern our server. She was fantastic. Our food came out in a timely manner. However, I asked for fried rice to go with my chicken teriyaki and was brought sticky rice with a very bland brown sauce. Photo attached. It was not fried rice and we were charged extra for it. The chicken seemed to be boiled and then thrown on a hot cast iron plate and covered with teriyaki sauce. The tea was very weak and watered down. Other entrees were also lacking flavor and seasoning. The two sushi rolls were fine. We've never been unsatisfied with sushi here but the food from the grill was sub-par, so sick to the sushi rolls menu.

I usually call, place order, pickup and eat at home but today, I called to place my order and asked can I eat the food there. Arrived, they told me where to sit, salad and meso soup arrived within 2 minutes and our entree arrived 2 to 3 minutes after that. The food and the service was excellent. Even tried the fried cheese cake for the first time. Delicious! Japanese hibachi filet mignon, salad dressing and soup is probably the best I ever had. Very friendly personnel and excellent food! We ordered via website, arrived to pickup order, was able to use Google Pay to pay the bill! After placing your order online, you will receive a confirmation text message and email.

The only negative I have to offer is their pricing. But if you're in Elizabeth city with only 2 sushi places to choose from, perhaps the extra expense of Toyama is worth it. It is very good and notably superior to their competition. But the competition offers a similar sushi dinner for I think about 7 or 8 bucks cheaper......*update.... ate here w my son for Father's day and the waiter, a young Asian kid, brings me less than half a cup of miso soup....I love miso soup. When I asked he fill the cup (which I shouldn't have had to) he wouldn't! I ordered the $25.99 sushi deluxe and couldn't get the actual bowl of the soup it comes with (prob worth about $0.17). I'm not going to argue w this kid about soup. I will let my patronage do the talking. When we had our drinks refilled I did in a snotty tone ask him if the drinks can be filled up or do we...

Excellent choice . I don't even know here to start , this restaurant offers a large variety of lunch items and lunch specials , the sushi was absolutely perfect, we had 2 lunch boxes one California roll and the salad is on point . the staff here are excellent . very attentive . the restaurant is very clean . the prices are absolutely where I would expect them to be very low . very good food The quality you find here is unlike any although , parking is a bit difficult to find . you might have to park in the parking area across the main highway in front of waterfront and Walk about a block and a 1/2 . Elizabeth City is a very quaint little town on the waterfront they do have a walking tour if you are interested listed if you are in the area and just need lunch they're open from 11 o'clock until 2:30 then they close and reopen...
