My daughter, granddaughter, & I went to the final production of "The Little Mermaid." This was our first experience with the Arts of the Albemarle. It was a pleasant afternoon, & my granddaughter loved it. Everything went smoothly; scene changes appeared to go without any difficulty & in a timely manner. Costumes were appropriate & conservative. It was nice that they also had a snack & beverage bar available during intermission, as well as a silent auction of paintings, & other misc items done with the Little Mermaid theme. The seating had plenty of leg room. As adults, we had no problem seeing everything on the stage. However, if young children are attending, a balcony seat would allow a better view for them; my granddaughter had to sit on the arm of the seat in order to see above those in front of her. Miss Felton has such energy and enthusiasm that we were all caught up in the performance! Thanks to her, Dr. Manning and I were able to grab last minute tickets to the performance and we are so thankful we didn't miss it.
