I was here for the Potato Festival. Giving it 3 stars bc everything is nice but some of that food is high, a lot of walking especially for someone with RA like me. If you have problems with your knees, back, feet etc I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you're going there for a specific thing like a candy apple or funnel cake or taking your kids, letting them get on rides while you relax. Some of the games ppl tried to get more money out of you..smh. You could either get a wristband for $25(ride all the rides you want) or just by tickets which were $1 each. So if you brought 20 tickets that's $20 and some of the rides are 4 or 5 tickets. So by the time your child get on maybe 5 rides all the tickets will be gone.. Definitely cheaper to get a wristband but if you have 3+ kids you're spending $75 and up just for a wristband then you have the high food(eat before you come then maybe get something sweet), then you have toys and etc you can buy. If you're not financially stable that's definitely not the place for you. You can go to the beach or somewhere like Dave n Busters and still have tons of fun. All in all my 3 kids had fun, that's all...
Read moreIf you are single handed or in a position where you need a good ramp, look elsewhere. This one is garbage. There are no cleats or pylons along length of dock (neither on the pier between the two ramps or on the land side of either ramp) to tie off to. Only a pair at the far end of that walkway between. The setup is also very short meaning that, while retrieving boat, there isnt room to fully back in and submerge bunks in front of your docked boat. Most galling is the fact that on the south side of the south ramp there are heavy duty metal brackets (apparently intended to secure some kind of wooden bumper that has long since eroded away) jutting out into the ramp area. If you have wind from the north (which is common) and let your boat slide downwind at all while docking, these will be all too ready to crack or puncture the side of your hull. In summary, if you have help, calm weather, and a low draft boat to drive on to trailer, you’re probably fine. Otherwise, you’re cruising for a bruising or worse. E.C. shame on you for having such a poorly maintained and...
Read moreTwo lanes for boat launch. Nice center dock for rope tenders. Not a steep drop off for trailer so 21 foot Carolina Skiff needed both trailer axles under water to the diamond deck. Almost nobody there on a beautiful July 3rd Saturday with great weather. Plenty of trailer parking immediately in front of the launches. Also, there is a short term dock and pier just to left of launches as you are looking towards water in case there is a long wait or in the event you are performing a one person launch. Park is open until 10pm and there is no...
