Kinfolk axe throwing — Restaurant in Elizabeth City

I couldn’t wait to get home and write this review because I’ve been wanting to go to Kinfolk since it opened. We had a spur of the moment girls night there. We had such a GREAT time!! The staff was amazing, warm, friendly! Jay helped us through the night and was a great instructor. Super helpful! My bonus daughter lost $4 bucks in the juke box and wasn’t able to get a refund from the machine because she put $5 in right before the DJ started. The owner gave her $2 of the $4 she lost out of her own pocket which I thought was really cool of her. We had a great time getting together and throwing axes. Our coach was informative because only one person in the group had done this before. Two lanes for $20/hr for 7 people. This place has a pool table and cornhole for non-throwers, plus a dartboard if that's your thing. They had live entertainment the night we were there. We set reservations to do some axe throwing for an hour. We did not eat. But the bar service was kind. The gal that did our waivers was patient and nice as well. OUR Coach Jay was outstanding, super talented and showed us some tips and tricks. The booming music and people watching reminded me of my "younger years" at the "block" in Virginia Beach, Va. Good times were being had by a good mix of good folk....
