I can't even begin to describe how amazing this place is. Mike, the owner and name sake of the company, is an amazing salesman. He can walk you through all the options that will work for your car to give you the best sound system within the price range you can work with. He listens for what you want, gets down to the details like what music to listen to, to ensure that the solution they find for you is a perfect fit! On top of all this Mike just as a personality unmatched by any other salesman I have met! He quite a character and makes you feel right at home in his store. Additionally there is not stupid questions! Ask whatever crosses your mind and Mike with have an honest response that is free from any patronizing tone!

Mark, the manager, is just as amazing! He keeps everything running smoothly between scheduling and overseeing the install on the appointed day as well as helping with the Progressive leasing setup should you choose that route to help pay for upgrade (if you need it). He also is very knowledgable of products they carry, what will work best and is willing to go the extra mile to research if a product they cary will work for your intended use!

The install went very smooth and was very professional. They worked with me to determine the best locations for the amp, the subwoofer and the subwoofer controls so everything looked very nice and neatly done. Once the install was done Smitty walked me through how to use the new system then let me spend some of his time playing my music to ensure that the initial tuning and equalizations they set worked great with the kind of music I listen to. Thats another thing, they are knowledgable on configuring the sound system to work with any kind of music you listen to, Rock, Rap, Hip Hop, Country, no problem!

After my amazing experience here, I personally will not trust my car with any other audio shop in Sacramento County! I've had many compliments from friends and family that have ridden in the car with me on how great the system sounds over the factory installed system. I've told every single one of them where to go for the best...

I had a unique experience with Mike's Sound Solutions. They created a custom box specifically for my car that didn't take up too much trunk space which was superb work. They also upgraded my cabin speakers and put in a multi-touch dash that I requested to be specifically installed.

After a few months the sub starts making a cracking sound. I call Mike's Sound solutions and the owner personally drives out to where I work. He then tells me;

"This can either be one of two things. The speaker was defective and blew due to a hardware malfunction that had nothing to do with you, or, you pushed the speaker too hard and blew it."

"We can tell by the scar on the woofer exactly what happened." (I'm wondering how much money this is gonna be at this point because I pushed that sub pretty dang hard)

He then looks at me and says "If it was a hardware defect, we'll simply replace the sub with a new one. If you pushed the sub too hard however…..we're gonna have to upgrade you to the next model up for free because you should be able to push this thing as hard as you want"

I was so blown away at the customer service I received. It turned out that the cover on the woofer simply blew off but they still replaced it with a new one. They even offered to let me use their car for the day while mine was being worked on and picked me up from work on time with my car in flawless condition. They even had it washed and vacuumed at Bubble's car wash because they didn't wanna give me my car back dirty.

This review is more than a year in the making! It's easy to write a review immediately after a single visit to any establishment, but what about weeks and months that follow? Our previous shop didn't survive the pandemic so when we needed work done the search began. I passed Mike's one day and debated, it wasn't a "chain" shop so I was a little hesitant. I eventually decided to give them a try after reading a few reviews, I was very happy with the work and the price. My husband is a little harder to impress. He eventually needed some work done/corrected after another shop lied about what they were installing and did not install properly. He took it to a shop in Roseville for a diagnosis, they were great but it was just too far. In the end this shop actually recommended Mike's (I didn't say "I told you so" ). Long story short, in the last year+ we have gone to Mike's at least 10 times. We weren't returning because the work was subpar, actually the opposite! We've taken four different cars to them for various work....replacement of malfunctioning alarm, sound system insulations, correcting subpar work from another establishment, etc. Bottom line we keep going back because they do great work!!
