Martin's Super Markets — Local services in Elkhart

Opening over a year ago in October of 2016, this location (near Concord Mall) has proven to uphold their service quality standards that Martin's Supermarkets have based their reputation on. With a pharmacy, 1st Source Bank and this being the second location to offer Groceries to Go service. They feature an in-store Martin's Smokehouse BBQ facility that offers chicken, beef brisket, pork, pulled and on the ribs or maybe you would like a grilled sandwich or panini. Nearby is the sidedoor deli cafe with an extensive salad bar, taco and hot soup stations, tables with roomy seating. Next to that, a Starbuck's coffee kiosk for you favorite Barista prepared beverages. Take it out-doors on the patio during seasonal weather, to sit in the open air by a firepit with family and friends. The bakery has bread items such as loaf, baguettes, rolls, focaccia, and many other choices as well as sweets. Like cookies, donuts, muffins, cakes and pies. This past summer, they took the time to widen the aisles for easier flow. This location offers a community room with seating for up to 84, sponsored in part by KitchenAid, will host store events as well as scheduled classes and private events. Check for scheduled times and cost. The store hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, excluding holidays. I purchase my meats, fruit and vegetables here for quality assurance. It so nice to have attentive service...

AVOID THE BAKERY!!!!

The store is set up pretty nice and has a lot of new and great features. But the BAKERY is HORRIBLE! We entered an order for a cake on their new computer system for my sons 10th bday. It printed out an invoice for us so we assumed that it was taken care of. There wasn't a baker in the vicinity at the time of our visit, nor was there anything that stated if we should leave the invoice there or not. The other issue was WHERE to leave the invoice, there wasn't a drop box or anything, so we weren't going to leave our invoice on the counter for obvious reasons.I returned to the bakery on 2 other occasion at different times and neither time was there anyone in the area who could help us out. We finally called the day before his bday and they said there wasn't any order put in and that they don;t check the computer, and that we should have left the invoice there....Well after about 30 min of trying to get something figured out they said they would TRY to have the cake done. The cake was completed by my sons bday, but when we opened the cake we noticed a blond hair on top of the cake..... Avoid the bakery at all costs, the rest of the store is really nice and worth shopping, but...

I went for a steak, pressed button and waited for an employee 3 times, i could hear the coms going but no one was coming so i headed up front to ask a cashier for help. Usually it’s no problem, they will find someone to wrap one up for me but this obese lady approached me and said you deli, I said I just need a steak, she said they close at 730, it was 845 and i have gone with no issue and gotten polite service before, many times. She was very rude. I pleaded for someone to just wrap one up for me which I’ve never had to do, i said the manager would probably do it, she said i am the manager and I don’t know how to do that , i have had a long day and just want a steak which are good at martins hence the 2 stars, i will not be back. I feel bullied and think that’s bad business, anyways i got steak at meijer which isn’t as good plus i had to buy two. I don’t know the ladys name, she was glaring at me like a police officer....
