Iâve been meaning to post this for a while. I have been a member of lifetime fitness for many years and I am a very active member, I am at the gym almost every day. I am giving a one star review because of the bad gym hours and failure of management to show any interest in fixing the problem. Lifetime Ellisville closes at 10 pm on weekdays and 9 pm on weekends. This is unacceptable. Lifetime when I joined was a 24 hour gym, then started closing at midnight but would allow members who enter before midnight to stay and finish their workout late. Now everyone is evacuated at 10 pm. Several of us have spoken with management several times about this and nothing has been done and I no longer expect anything to be done. My last communication via email to the general manager Bradley Bryan was a few months before January 2022, and in his response he said his goal is to go back to precovid hours by January 2022. I am writing this review on July 2022 and gym hours havenât changed yet. Since COVID restrictions have been lifted, lifetime membership fees have gone up, and operations are back to normal. A lot of other active gym members like myself who have a very busy life and would appreciate later hours at the gym. Quite often at 10 pm upon closing, there will be several uncivil arguments between staff and members and kicking members out. This has happened to me before where a gym employee told me itâs time to leave 9:59 pm. I am well known at the gym and friendly with everyone and follow the rules. I was on my way out and wasnât the only person at the gym, so I responded to the employee âwho I have never seen beforeâ with a friendly smile, yes sir let me finish this set and leave in 30 seconds. This employee gave me nasty look and responded in a rude toneâ YOU DIDNâT HEAR ME, I SAID YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOWâ. Note that I have not seen this employee at the gym for several months for complete honesty and fairness. I am a very busy person and this is an honest review out of my frustration. Several members and close friends of mine are going to post similar reviews out of our collective frustration soon. Lifetime Ellisville is a good gym, but for the high membership fees, I am giving them a one star review for poor management and lack of care for paying members, especially that this is no longer a single person problem, the gym is usually full of people at closing time all arguing with gym staff. If I get a response to this review to contact the gym management for feedback, I want to make it clear I have already done that several times as I stated above and nothing was done, another reason for my one star review. Membership dues keep going up and gym hours problem isnât being resolved. Other lower tier gyms in the area open 24/7. I have a picked an elite expensive gym because I am willing to pay the increasing fee for elite service, a service that is no longer being provided.    Read moreThe place itself is OK, I enjoyed working out at this location but their customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. They only care about you if you're a current member, but heaven forbid you decide to cancel your membership, regardless of the circumstance. They are the absolute worst to work with, no-one returns my calls or messages. I made it clear that I needed a month-to-month membership while I was on maternity leave and that i wouldn't be able to go to the gym after my maternity leave ended. I was under the assumption that they noted that because i gave them specific dates and my membership card even had an expiration date on it. Well, they continued to charge me even though i wasn't using their facility and after calling multiple times they told me i had to physically go to the location to sign something to terminate my agreement. That expiration date on my card apparently didn't mean anything, how can any-one not assume that "EXPIRATION DATE 3/3/17" meant their membership ends that date? After physically going to the location and signing this termination agreement I have to wait ANOTHER 30 days before they stop charging me! You'd think given the circumstances of me explaining when I needed to end my contract on day 1 of membership (and giving them a specific date) and literally telling their staff i can't make it back to their gym after said date because i'll be back at work and wont have the time to work-out---that maybe they'd help out or try to understand. I was so transparent about my intentions there when I joined! I am just really upset at the miscommunication, lack of explanation during registration (I was very transparent about when I needed to end my membership), and that absolutely no help or direction was given until I had to call multiple times and leave multiple voicemails, for someone to explain the charges to my card. This cancellation process, aside from the 30 days after the termination agreement, has been well over a month. I would have never joined this place if I had known the level of customer service I would be given and the lack of direction and poor excuses given while trying to end my contract.
