Live within walking distance and only just discovered this store is here.
Stopped in while running errands, and nobody bothered to greet me, or even make eye contact. No attempt to acknowledge I was in the store at all.
One person behind the counter was looking through some cards, the other clicking around on a computer for the entire time I was there.
While not unfriendly, the overall vibe was that they just didn't care if I was there or not.
One of the best reasons to shoo local is that local shops tend to thrive on individual attention. Treating customers like people, not walking wallets.
Perhaps this is one of the many shops that makes their money opening card packs and selling singles online, and thus they don't need local support.
Or perhaps they're new to things and are still finding their feet.
Their selection seemed decent (I, personally would like to see more board games, and some sort of order to their games - alphabetical, by age group, something), and they did seem to have two or three groups playing what appeared to be Magic and Dungeons and Dragons.
So, perhaps I merely caught them on an off day.
I hope they are just new and will learn and succeed over time. But for now, there are better shops...
