I had a generally positive experience at Scandinavian Designs buying over a dozen items to refresh our home. Their selection and contemporary design is unrivaled for their reasonable prices and for that alone (we stopped by LOTS of stores) I'd come back in the future.
Max, the salesperson, and the delivery guys were absolutely great. Easily the best delivery experience I've had with any furniture store and Max kept me up to date on what was going on with my order.
A few things to watch out for:
-If you're buying multiple pieces you shouldn't get your hopes up that everything will be in stock and it'll be 2-3 weeks before delivery. -Their point of sale system is from 1994 and everything has to get entered manually by hand, including discounts. Double-check your invoice before you leave the building, because I am pretty sure I didn't get the clearance prices on a couple items I purchased, but don't have a time machine to check the prices on that day.

The delivery guys put in a ticket, and that is about as far as the helpfulness went. 3 in person visits and 6 phone calls later, the couch is still not repaired. Each time I was told that I would be contacted, this never occurred. Unable to get a hold of store manager to return the couch or get money back. If what you order is delivered defective or broken, send it back with the deliver guys and get your money back, the employees of the store won't lift a finger to help resolve the situation.
Update Eventually, I was able to get a hold of the repair service and schedule the work with him for a few weeks out, he works out of LA and comes down to San Diego once a week. Turns out the store never sent him a work order to make the repair. Not really surprised they couldn't even get...
Read moreI purchased a couple of these bar stools, waited a week to be delivered to the store / warehouse and I was told to call them and make sure those were at available and ready since their policy is to assembly those before the customer can pick up. One looks fine the second is wiggling so bad, unsafe to even seat. Very deceiving they can try to push a bar stool to a customer like this. Same day informed about the issue and requested a replacement of the broken one and was asked to wait another week for a new delivery. Received confirmation they have those in stock. The day that I was supposed to exchange the broken bar stool I received a phone call saying those were not available and was asked "if I could work and keep the broken bar stool, try to make it work". If you are looking for quality this is not the place...
