Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Encinitas

This place has mixed reviews and I experienced it on the last time we went with my wife. We waited 45 minutes to get a sandwich coffee which was completely absurd however, this time we ordered online with the app and our food was ready when we got there.

Interesting enough if it wasn’t that crowded so if we ordered when we got there, we probably would’ve got our food in about 10 minutes. I think the last time we were there it was just everybody went all at the same time and it was a very unpleasant experience.

The staff was great and took care of business right away, and our food was out at the expected time. The latte tasted spot on and the breakfast sandwich as you can see, was delicious.

I would highly recommend ordering ahead of time even if you plan on eating there. They have inside dining as well as outside seating but based on the crowds I’ve seen I wouldn’t wanna wait in line for 45 minutes for a bagel. Order early or plan on spending a little extra time there.

There are two places to order. One of them says "Order Here." Then you go and pay. It's their job to set up the system, but it wasn't convenient for me. It's not immediately clear that the order is here and the payment is elsewhere. Okay, I'm waiting for my coffee. I paid. I'm waiting, and I see someone come to the same place, place their order, and pay. I'm talking about the payment-only place. So, just so you understand, they're not standing in the place where you need to order; they're already standing at the payment counter, but they're still placing their order. At least they kicked me out and asked me to go to the supposedly correct place. Okay, I moved on. I'm not a coffee pro, but making a cappuccino so hot that you can't even hold the glass in your hands and it burns your tongue isn't very good coffee, would you agree? That's the kind of service and rating you guys have... I'll probably send my guys there too, let them try...

My husband wanted food from this store this morning. He asked me if I would go so I did. I placed my order but with the cashier but he seem to be having problems upon taking my order. I order a breakfast sandwich which is a hot sandwich and a plain bagel which I order every other day from this store. I complained that my order was incorrect .
