Papa Aldo’s is a small but mighty Peruvian fusion empanada shop tucked inside Regal Plaza on Eastern Avenue. Don’t be fooled by its size, the flavors here are absolutely huge. Honestly, this is one of those “run, don’t walk” spots you’ll want to try as soon as possible.
On our first visit, we arrived later in the day and found that a few of the empanada flavors we wanted had already sold out, a clear sign of just how popular they are. Determined to taste more, we called in as soon as they opened the next day, placed our order, and picked it up fresh. Best decision ever.
The empanadas are nothing short of incredible. We tried the chicken, broccoli & cheese, and potato & lentil varieties, and each one was bursting with flavor and perfectly baked. Every bite had that balance of crispy pastry and savory filling that makes you want to order “just one more.”
To end on a sweet note, we couldn’t resist the guava cheesecake, and wow, it was the perfect little indulgence. Light, creamy, and full of tropical flavor, it tied the whole meal together beautifully.
What makes Papa Aldo’s even more special is the warmth of the people behind it. The owner and staff are so charming and welcoming, you feel like a guest in their home rather than just a customer.
This is exactly the kind of small business worth supporting, authentic, flavorful, and run with genuine heart. Papa Aldo’s has quickly become a favorite for us, and there’s no doubt we’ll be back...
Read more5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 across the board. I always go to empanada places with low expectations since only a few are good. This place is a hit. Out of all the empanada places I've been, they have the best dough & crust. Very flavored. Most places the dough is super thin. Decided to stop by today since I was nearby. Everything I ordered was delicious. The raspberry cheesecake one was INSANELY good. The spinach brocoli was so so good also. The sauces? Amazing, the sweet chili one might be my favorite of them all. I live 30 mins away from this place. Would I drive just to get a dozen? Definitely! Also, pricing is super good and I was already full with 2 empanadas since they are very filled on the inside. Hope this place gets to stay for long, owners are super chill...
