Very lovely jewelry store. The associates were very sweet and polite. The reason I have only 3 stars is while they weren't able to do the engraving I needed I would most likely have shopped here anyway had it not been for the extreme smell of perfume that overwhelms you as soon as you open the door. I suffer from allergies, and even the slightest scent of perfume has my throat feeling like I've swallowed glass and my head starts to pound. So when I say this was extremely overwhelming, I mean it literally took my breath away. Had I not already been to 7 other establishments and was told this could be the one to do what I needed, I would've turned immediately and left. As it was, the 3 minutes or so I was in there had me heading straight to a Benadryl the moment I left. I did explain to one of the associates the reason for my hands being over my face and she nodded her head and said she understood. Again, had it not been for the fact I needed this engraving and that I had already been to so many places prior, I wouldn't have risked it, so if you suffer from any allergies I wouldn't recommend going here, but if you're one of the lucky "allergy free" ones out there then absolutely! When my father passed away in May, I was given some diamonds from his ring that I wanted to have a ring created to honor his memory. My mother and I stopped into the Dothan location to start this process. Initially, when we met with Bryon, we received great service. In the weeks to follow, I did receive an initial cad of what my ring would look like. I wanted to make a small change to the first version. After several weeks of waiting, I received a response of they couldn't make the change. After a little more back and forth, via text, he said he now understood my request and "was on it!" That was the last reply I received. After wasting 3 months trying to be patient, we went to Bradshaw's and within 3 weeks I had a design. Two weeks after that, I had my beautiful tribute to my father. I have never felt like my dollars didn't hold the same value as their more typical customer. Had never been to Strickland’s, but after yesterday, I learned that I never lost anything there. We came in, waited for over 20 minutes - and not a single person said “welcome,” or “can we help you?” We walked around the small store numerous times…still not a single welcome or show of appreciation that we were there. The elder gentleman in the office was with one lady the entire time and never even offered as much as a hello.

When going to a high end jeweler, one expects to be treated as if they deserve to be there or at least are welcome. I felt as if we were a hindrance as soon as we got to Strickland’s. Had to ask a yup g little girl if they had chocolate diamonds and she said ‘only at our Dothan store if you want to drive there.’ Nope! I went to Jared and spent my $3k there.
