Aldi is a surprisingly great store to shop at. It has a really different setup and vibe than most traditional American grocery stores. Everything at this store is more affordable than going to one of the big-name grocery stores. A lot of the items seem like white labels or manufacturers direct, but it is really quality food.
They have items for families in sizes and at prices that make it affordable to shop again. The fruit, berries, and nuts especially stand out as a great deal. Far less expensive than anywhere else, and they are really fresh.
It's also a great place to pick up knick knacks and random things for the home. They have different stuff every time I have visited. It's also a step above the other discount grocery stores in the area. They have a consistent stock of all the family food essentials.
Just make sure when you check out that you bring your own bags or are prepared to buy paper bags. They don't have the traditional 10 cent plastic bags here. You also have to bag your own groceries. There is no self check out either. If you want a cart to shop with, bring a quarter. The checkout process can be a bit off-putting at first.

Read moreAldi has some good finds and bargains. I don't like that you have to have a quarter to get a cart, I never have any sort of cash. They will let you use one complimentary but it still is a bit of a hassle to go in and ask for a quarter then go back outside to get a cart and then bring the quarter back inside after you load up your car. They also never have many cashiers so I feel bad when I have a cart full of stuff and people behind me are giving me an evil eye. It would be much better if they didn't do the whole quarter thing and if they had more cashiers. Maybe a few self checkouts would help. But I will keep going because like I said there are good deals to be had. There are times when I abandon the items I have because of them having one cashier and a big line...
Read moreI absolutely love Aldi's! I get the majority of my groceries there now. They have great prices and good variety. It's kind of a health food store that carries organic produce, they also carry meat, dairy, deli items, chips, salsa, crackers and even a small gluten free section. And down my favorite aisle are the great things advertised in the ad. Everything from small kitchen appliances , to pots and pans, pyrex, storage help on one side, and on the other side you can find cleaning aids, hardware, drills, electric sanders and seasonal items. Across the aisle there can be found glue guns, mini sewing machines, clothes hampers, mini tables, shoes, slippers, socks, kids toys, seasonal items, and all kinds of fun stuff at really...
