Management and employees are top tier here. I went in to purchase a set of furniture, the employee/greeter was quick to help me carry it and we noticed that it had slight damage, he quickly called over a manager who also reviewed the pieces. Manger then took the time to explain why/how it likely happened, as well as how I could fix it if I choose to. He then offered me a very 'generous' mark down due to the damages, all without me ever having to bicker or complain, they simply helped me out and ensured that I was satisfied. (This was on 7/7/20 6ish) Employee/doorman then helped me load up the furniture and we were on our way. Me and my girl friend are moving into our first place together and this was an extremely relieving and exciting experience as this was our first furniture purchase in what was a very lengthy and stressful process of moving.
I'm extremely grateful for their assistance and level of customer care, I will go out of my way to return to the store specifically and will spread the word to family and friends as well. In addition this store actually does have a very good selection and is a little larger/laid out in a way...
Read moreHad the most god awful experience at this Homegoods just now. My girlfriend just tried to make a return for a product she got at another Homegoods. It was for one of those little metal containers that keeps food warm. The cashier there with short brown hair said, and I quote, "I'll do the return, but normally we don't do that." All should be good now, right? After my girlfriend said "thank you, but I don't understand why they wouldn't return it if the product doesn't work", the cashier then backtracks, refuses the return and claims that she "misspoke" and was completely nasty about it. The fact is, the product didn't work at all, my girlfriend deserved her money back for it, and the cashier was just nasty. I can't believe that she would outright lie about what she said. If she had said that she couldn't do it right from the start, that would be one thing, but to lie to our face about it? I wouldn't shop at this branch, Escondido deserves something else in this...
Read moreWhen in Escondido I stop by the HomeGoods store there to check out what they have. This store has a great variety of items and if I need something for the house, a gift and even cards and gift wrap I usually find it. For special holidays such a Easter, Halloween and especially Christmas they go all out with a very good variety of decorations for the home, which is fun to check out. And during Spring there are pots and yard decor galore.
My only complaint is at this particular HomeGoods store if a customer is in need of a restroom they have to locate an employee to let them in. A month ago I was there at 7 pm and when I asked to be let into a restroom the employee I spoke with said that the restroom was closed for the night and that I could go next door to the Aldi store to use their restroom. An inconvenience and odd because at other HomeGoods stores (Poway, Solana Beach) the restrooms are open and until...
