Henry's Smog — Local services in Escondido

Brought my Chevy Cruze in for it's first smog after reading the reviews for Henry's. Had to drive past a couple times due to nowhere to park (reviews are right about parking being pretty sparse), so ended up pulling into the end of the driveway. They said I was good there and the truck in front of me ended up pulling up into the garage and they pulled me up all the way behind him into the rest of the driveway. Haven't had to have a smog in a while and they hooked up my car for a reading while I was waiting. After a few minutes he called me into the office and said it was all done and it passed. I didn't realize I didn't have to have the full smog and was happy and surprised it was so quick and good to go. Highly recommend Henry's. Don't let the little parking available deter you - they will accommodate you and make sure you can get in. Super nice and efficient to the point where they're done before you even realize they fully started. Website also has a coupon to save a few bucks....

I'm in the customer service business, so I really appreciate it when I find someone else giving exemplary service.

When I first called on the phone, he told me to make sure that my car didn't require a STAR test as he couldn't do those. It didn't as I'd just bought the car, but it was nice of him to ask so as not to waste my time.

Upon arrival, Henry used his OBD2 device and told me that since two of the sensors still needed resetting, the test would fail. He advised me to drive it around for a couple of days and return. I did and it passed. He was fast, efficient, friendly and reasonably priced.

If you're like me and you're going through the myriad of reviews and really wondering who you can trust to do a good job on a smog test, my experience at Henry's could not have been better.

I will be taking all of my cars to him...

I had a total of three total visits (two more than I would have liked). But he made it as easy as possible considering the situation.

The first time, I payed up-front for the smog and did not pass. I had to drive the car some more for all the sensors to have enough data since the battery was replaced. Unfortunately a light came on because I needed a repair.

I got the repair ($mog pump) after a few months and came back. He let me know the sensors needed more info after the repair and didn't charge me anything for the visit.

Coming back after having driven the car for 60+ miles, it passed!! For this final visit, he only charged me half price.
