Dollar General — Local services in Estes Park

My wife and i came in to buy earbuds because we left ours in colorado springs and we were in estes park for a vacation because my son was home from japan. We when went to checkout and the young man helping us was very helpful and answered all our questions. My wife asked if dollar general offered a military discount as i am a disabled veteran also. He stated they did not but they should. We left the store and we were talking in our truck. I looked up and saw the young man and i thought i forgot something. He gave me a pair of headphones he had already paid for himself because they were marked paid for with the date. He then gave me a salute and said this is your military discount and thank you for your service. And quickly ran back inside. I was left speechless. Whoever raised this young man gets 5 stars and the manager should give him a raise for going above and beyond. This is outstanding customer service. We will never go there again when we go back there next year Employee named Cindy the day dec 23 around 7 pm. She got into with my wife for not wearing a mask bc where we live its optional if you are Vaccinated. She was so rude to my wife, and my wife was nothing but kind and polite to the cashier. When my wife said she didn't even live there, after the cashier said people in estes park were the worst she had ever met, my wife walked away and said icjust came here to get medicine for my baby. She said as my wife walked away that there was nowhere else in this town to get meds at that time of night. My wife continued out the door and told her to have a blessed christmas. Thats when the cashier said "bite me" my wife asked for a pen and paper to write a formal complaint and was told go get one herself. My wife decided to defuse the situation and leave. The store in Estes Park is incredibly disorganized. My wife and I were in there on Sunday and there were rolling carts full of boxes of stock sitting all over the store. Today my wife and I were in there expecting the stock to be put away but instead there were boxes throwing all on the shelves nowhere near where they belong all over the store the product areas were empty there are rolling carts full of boxes all over the store still from Sunday. One person working the register a huge line one person I'm guessing supposed to be stocking wandering around the store doing nothing but turning bottles of the minimal product that is on the Shelf so the labels face the front. This is ridiculous. The sign in the store all over the shelves they do to covid-19 our stock has been short blah blah blah but if they would put the stock away the stock would not be short.
