I don't write many review but after our experience at Latitude 105 I had to post something. My family stopped in for a quick lunch over the weekend and have to say the atmosphere and service from the server is top notch. The food on the other hand.... My family all ordered hamburgers which seems to be the speciality, since it is the main selection on the menu. Upon receiving my beef burger I could immediately tell something was wrong. While looking at my burger it appeared to be dark brown almost black. My 11 years old son could not take a bite he said his was burnt, the server was extremely nice and sent it back to be re cooked. I tried to forced my burger down, I was so hungry from being at the RMNP all morning. At this point my daughter gave up only eating a few bites. My son's replacement burger arrived and he looked at it and immediately lost his appetite. I stop after only eating 1/2 my food due to the very unpleasant taste and aftertaste from every bite. My wife stopped eating too, we could not identify what the noticeable taste was. We questioned our selection to the server and she did not mention anything other than confirmed our order of beef burgers. She had to know something was up since no one finished more than a few bites of their burgers. It wasn't until my son read one of the reviews that this distinct taste in the burger that caused not one of us to complete our meals was the worcestershire sauce that the burgers are marinated in. I would never want this in my food. No where in the menu does it mention that the burgers are soaked in this sauce. So on the way back to RMNP we had to stop at the local mini market to get a snack since we were all still hungry. We were all reminded of this lunch the rest of the afternoon with the horrible after taste. So baically I would never go back to this restraunt since the menu does not mention anywhere that the hamburger beef is marinated in worcestershire sauce and the server did not mention it...
Read moreSave your money!! We chose this place to have a nice dinner out for my birthday during our visit to Estes Park. The food was terrible. My husband and I both ordered the Portobella Parmesan and added chicken. The menu description read "Portobello Parmesan (V) – $19 Fettuccini, Alfredo, Shaved Parmesan Cheese, Garlic Bread”. The fettuccini had an oily coating at best, no sauce and no shaved Parmesan. My chicken was quite dry. The mushroom was good for a few bites until the tangy flavor of it caught up to you. It came with Brussels sprouts which were so charred they practically disintegrated when you tried to pick them up with your fork. My husband asked if we could have a dish of the Alfredo, hoping that would salvage the meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and did bring us each a dish of what was supposed to be Alfredo sauce. It was more comparable to country gravy for a chicken fried steak. The waiter apologized as he was taking our nearly full plates of food away, since we had declined his offer for a “to go” box. He told us he was going to give us the “local discount” and he did......10%. He took $4.80 off of the two meals total that we didn’t even eat 10% of and then when my husband pressed further for a more appropriate comp, they had the nerve to claim that half of the meals had been eaten. It would’ve never occurred to me that I should take a picture of the plate before he took it from the table, although I doubt that would’ve changed their lack of interest in resolving the issue. They eventually offered a “punch card” and a complimentary piece of their Flourless Chocolate cake (all the flour is in the Alfredo sauce). We declined both for...
Read moreReally really mediocre restaurant. The location, as others have mentioned, is beautiful and the decor inside is tasteful and modern. Everything looked clean and staff was dressed professionally. The good stopped there. We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer and a wedge salad. Both were enormously unimpressive and lacked flavor and freshness. The eggs had absolutely no seasoning - the yolk had been mixed and placed back in the egg white without even salt or pepper, and the toppings of chicken and salmon were equally flavorless and tasted like they'd been sitting in a fridge for a few days before being served. The only half decent topping was the BBQ meat, but the flavor of this did not mesh at all with the egg. The eggs were served over wilting spinach. The salad was the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. We were given an entire half a head of iceberg lettuce, including the root part which is not edible. There were 3-4 half cherry tomatoes and some bacon and egg bits sprinkled on top and a huge amount of dressing on the side. The knife provided could not even cut through the lettuce and it was ridiculously large compared to the toppings provided. The waitress came by once to refill drinks the entire time we were there (even though we had paid for drinks) and overall it was a very poor experience. There are lots of places in Estes to give your money for much...
