Elkins Colorado Whisky in Estes Park is a true gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. The atmosphere is inviting and perfectly captures the rustic charm of the Rockies. What truly made our visit exceptional was Marina. Her knowledge and passion for the whisky were evident, and she graciously guided us through their impressive selection. She allowed us to sample everything we were curious about, patiently answering all our questions.

We ended up taking home two absolutely delightful bottles: the Honey Whisky, which is smooth, sweet, and bursting with natural honey flavor, and the Spicy Ranch, a unique and refreshing condiment that packs a fantastic kick. Both are truly exceptional and reflect the high quality and craftsmanship that Elkins puts into their whisky and products! We also took home two great glass wares!

It lacks the Elkins vibe the distillery had and the whisky flavors no longer are as bright and unique as their sonic aging process was. They did have a lot of "made with whisky" products like aged coffee beans, soap, jams and wanting the distillery to re-open but the cost of a bottle nearly doubling is tough as it's distilled in Kentucky like most others. Some of their top single barrel are distilled in Colorado and aged in town, but it's not aged using sonic aging process that made it complex, smooth and unique. While I get why they aren't reopening the distillery, it's not the same delicious depth of flavor it once was. Giving Marina at Elkins HIGE props for her customer service and o really positive energy. Thank you for the great time and the taste tests. We had a great time exploring all of the great options for purchase. Have to try the Rocky Mountain Whisky, Colorado Peach Vodka, Rocky Mountain Lemonade AND the Rocky Mountain Sweet Tea flavored vodka. So many amazing choices. Those were ours.
