What a treat!
This was my last stop on my last morning of my 6 day trip throughout Colorado. What a perfect ending.
First and foremost, I only drink decaf coffee, so most of the coffee shops can only give me an espresso drink. I was so lucky and happy when I came in and saw that this establishment provided pour over! That's what I make for myself every morning, so I was absolutely made to feel at home in this very welcoming establishment.
I got some snacks in addition, and because I'm gluten free I was also pleased to find that they had something I could eat. Not a lot on the menu that was gluten-free, but the muffin was delicious.
I took my snacks upstairs with my coffee and found an absolutely beautiful sitting area. A vaulted ceiling that reminds me of an A-frame in the mountains, and a pretty view through many windows and skylights.
I also couldn't help but pick up some of the paper goods that they had on sale, and if I had more time I would have enjoyed shopping throughout their lovely store.
I wish that I had found and tried this establishment earlier, it would have been hard not to make it my everyday morning stop.

Their name reflects their gift shop inventory, offering a swath of beautiful stationary, journals, writing utensils. Their upstairs reminds me of the local coffee shops I would visit when I was young, remaining true to a local atmosphere.
I got their cortado, I was given the option between two different espresso beans. Choosing the brighter, fruitier choice, the cortado was delicious. Nothing bitter about it. The barista giving me a sweet bright smile, regardless of how early she probably had to come open the joint.
Their music was really good, and not intrusive at all, the speakers mostly downstairs so it only lingered up the stairs. Yet was still clear enough for shazam ;)
They have wifi, comfy seating, various different types of seating, and despite their lack of wall outlets, they had many electrical strips to make up for it. I could have spent all...
Read moreAmong all of the coffee shops in Estes, I’m especially glad I was able to spend time at Inkwell & Brew. They had all sorts of unique books, gifts, journals, stationary supplies, and other novelty items. As far as the coffee goes, the baristas as well as the coffee were some of the best I’ve ever encountered. They answered all of our questions while we contemplated what to order. The chai, mochas, and lattes were impeccable, and the available assortment of flavors was impressive.
The upper level of this two-story shop is designed for comfortable, quiet seating in a laid back environment. There are plenty of books and games on the shelves upstairs for those in search of relaxing entertainment, too. In the warmer months, you can enjoy your delectable beverages or snacks outside on their quaint and cozy patio. This family owned and incredible local business is definitely worth checking out if...
