Please save yourself the time... I would give no stars if I could could. This review for me is much overdue from November as it’s been really hard for me to revisit my experience at Express. I had to wait an extra hour and half for my interview because Pat took someone who had an “emergency” after quitting their job over me, and I was there half an hour early. I was refused a restroom and had to wait over 4 hours to even be “allowed” to go. I was denied a restroom because “I wasn’t recognized as an official employee” per their policy even though I was there getting an interview. She said the only place nearby she could think of I could go was the O’Reilly’s down the road... yeah okay, no. I would be late by the time I got back. Even after I received paperwork for employment, was still made to wait another hour and reluctantly sent to the bathroom. I have a medical condition pertaining to my pelvic floor, and I barely made it in time. I ended up having an accident and had to clean my mess. I expressed to the receptionist I couldn’t hold it and she told me she forgot I even asked. Pat criticized what I wrote on my forms, criticized my math skills and made me feel stupid, cut me off and acted very disinterested in anything I had to say, and even tried to place me in an interview with an office job after I specifically said I was not interested in office work nor was I equipped for it. I was very uncomfortable. I was doing skills tests on the computer for things I told her I didn’t have much exp in, like Microsoft excel and emails ect. Again, after I told Pat I wasn’t very experienced or comfortable with that work. At this point I have been in the facility for over 5 1/2 hours with no food or water. I didn’t anticipate I would be there that long at all and began to have problems with my blood sugar. I was on the verge of passing out, and was not thinking clearly. I was having a hard time composing myself/ sitting up as this was causing me a ton of anxiety. I let the receptionist know I have hypoglycemia and that I was about to pass out when she came by my computer. She told me she was sorry and that I could come back another time. Like I said, I am about to pass out. My vision is blurred, I was very pale, I was confused, stressed, and just told her again hoping for help, that I was hypoglycemic and that I was about to pass out. She stood there awkwardly and did nothing. She walked away after apologizing. I gained whatever strength I had, told her I was having a medical problem and that I needed my medication/ needed to leave and that I was sorry. She just told me okay and to feel better. I don’t remember driving home. I remember falling through my front door, and I remember my mom finding me. I remember my mom pouring juice into my mouth and me crying. After I came to, I was resting and my mom called their HR to complain when I told her what happened. HR woman was very very kind to us and very very angry about what happened. She told us it was unacceptable and that it is no where in their policy to refuse anyone the restroom. She was shocked that nobody did anything for me regarding my blood sugar as well even though I expressed this to the employees and that she would be having a lengthy chat with all of her staff. Pat tried to contact me a few days later. I did not call back. There is nothing left to say after the pain and complete embarrassment I was caused. Don’t tell me to contact anyone. This place is awful, please go...

I would not recommend Express Employment. There are plenty of other temp agencies that do a better job, and treat you with respect.
I had high hopes following my first interaction with Sheilyne (probably incorrect spelling). She was extremely friendly, although she was a bit unclear on a few details.
But upon showing up at the office the next day, I was greeted by a rude woman working at the counter who treated me as if I was the sole annoyance in her life. She was not helpful in anyway, matter of fact another man who was waiting had to come and specify what her instructions were because they were so bad at proper communication. He said he had never seen a temp agency be so useless and rude.
Once I returned to the desk, the two front counter girls and a manager spoke amongst themselves as if I was invisible before finally continuing to speak down to me and bark instructions at me like I was inept.
To top it all off, the job posting that I was initially applying for wasn't even listed on their job search. I find the tactics employed by these temp agencies to be rather dishonest and annoying, and Express was by far the worst. They post multiple ads for similar positions, but withhold the company names, forcing you to apply thru them. Once you do apply, they don't even know which specific listing(s) you are interested in, you're now just another applicant in their system that they will try to send you wherever.
I would love to be able to simply drop off a resume in person to the company looking to hire, but Express makes that impossible.
Had Sheilyne been able to act as a liason between myself and the potential employer I was applying to, things would have likely gone a lot smoother. But forcing me to become a part of their unorganized system, while simultaneously being treated like crap, was more than I cared to put up with.
Do not waste your time with this temp agency. Drop off resumes the old fashioned way, or seek a different...
Read moreThis is the second time I've worked through Express.. I hear too many complaints about their staff from other temp workers, on how unprofessional some of their attitudes are. Also a lot of screw ups on people's paychecks. Like my first paycheck I still have not received. Talked to payroll before she went on her one week vacation. She said corporate takes a couple weeks to figure out if a worker's paycheck has been cashed. If so, they would re-issue me a new one. Does that mean if they don't find where it was possibly cashed, th at I I don't get what is owed to me?? If so, I'll be glad to never work through your company ever again. I'm still waiting on anything about my first paycheck from 3 weeks ago. I've never liked a majority of temp agencies I have worked for.. I can only say, Staffing Partners I've worked for on and off for years between other jobs I've had. They are more friendly, and always find jobs for their workers. Never once had any problems with them.
Also I told them when I was going through my interview/paperwork process that I highly preferred working an early shift, or day shift, not swing, or graveyard. They mentioned they had a job for me, for like an early split shift, for a sewing company. I told them yeah, I'd be interested. Then instead of giving me more details about the sewing job, they put another job infront of me, and pretty much forced me into it. It is a swing shift. I have really bad insomnia, and swing or graveyard puts extra stress on my already bad sleeping schedule. They don't care. I even asked the job I work at if I could be moved to day shift. It's the perfect schedule. They had filled it all up, and told me they would keep me in mind. Note: majority of people that work at the warehouse I'm working at, are...
