So I went to the wetlands tonight. this is the second time I've gone there since I had an unfortunate misunderstanding with one of the bartenders. unfortunately I then came back two other times and everything was perfect except for tonight. I ordered my drink and sat by myself for a good hour sipping my drink and not even finishing it and then I had a friend of mine, who is actually giving me a ride. He ordered a rounds and we sat quietly enjoy the moment. he went outside to smoke and the manager and the bouncer came over and then informed me that I had been eighty-sixed because I had complained to corporate. My friend saw and hear everything that occured and could see through the front door of your business. I was a little surprised considering she had never done or said that to me but when she did tell me to leave she said it was because of the issue I had before was a bartender and that I had called corporate on her and she obviously was not happy with that. The only reason I called corporate was because she was not handling the situation very well and was not showing any understanding of what happened. And as I was getting up and leaving I inform them of my ongoing health problems and that I cannot walk fast anymore. I kept telling the bouncer to not touch me and I was walking out but he did not listen and grabbed me by my arm and started to forcefully pushing and drag me which in turned causing me to loose my balance in my heels causing me to fall and hit my head on the floor.... It caused tremendous pain and anguish.i lost consciousness briefly only to wake as I was lying there in horrible pain unfortunately all I could hear was the manager yelling that I was drunk and that I was out of control and that I attacked your six foot 200 lbs plus bouncer...then the manager calls the police saying I'm trepassing...I slowly got up without any offer of help...and then quietly walked out...the manager was on the phone as we left saying the police were coming to arrestme for trespassing...when I am a frail 125 lb 5 foot 3 grandmother. I do have a witness to this unfortunate situation...and i will be filing a lawsuit and my witness will be supporting me on what he heard and saw happen at your establishment. Looking forward to talking to corporate office...sad that this occurred...I do enjoy your establishment and it's unfortunate that this occurred. I thought that this was resolved. Unfortunately that wasn't true... management really needs to be addressed...as well as customer service....thank you for you time...

But I've digressed. It was still early in the day and I had to drive back to Portland. So I stopped in and decided to have the soup and salad special, with water. Although I was really tempted to have a local brew, I thought best not to given a two plus hour drive I was looking to.
The soup was a noodle and bean with some pork and toasted bread. I don't remember the the name they gave it but it was delicious, I should have gotten the bowl instead of the cup. The garden salad was a large portion of fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrot and sunflower seeds all nicely proportioned with what seemed like a house-made ranch dressing. I did have to ask for an additional cup of dressing (it was a large salad), which my server happily and quickly brought back to me. I think the whole thing was about $10 including tip.
The decor and dress is casual. There are several large screen TVs tuned to a variety of sports at any given time. The menu was pretty good for a brew pub (burgers, wraps, soups, salads, breakfasts, etc.), with daily and weekend specials all reasonably priced. It could easily be a neighborhood destination if I had been offered the job at a decent salary.
Bottom line, it appears to be a great place to watch big games, especially University of Oregon home football, and large sporting events. The day I was there the TVs were tuned to golf, motorsports, baseball, porker and...
Read moreA friend and I went to Wetlands to play some pool & enjoy a few drinks. As we walked in no one is wearing a mask except the bartender. He immediately informed us we needed to wear a mask which I found odd since literally no one else besides himself was wearing one. We both put one on as it was clear that we weren’t going to get served if we didn’t. He said we needed to wear them until we were served drinks. We then waited patiently as he went about counting money & doing other seemingly odd tidying up in what seriously appeared to be intentional delaying tactics. My mask had dropped below my nose at some point and he quickly made a point of telling me I needed to lift the mask above my nose. I swear we waited 10 min at least and during this time he didn’t serve anyone else either. He then took our order and brought us our drinks. Masks came off and never went on again the rest of the time we were there. The simple fact that he made this idiotic choice to require a mask until we received our order while not one other customer was wearing a mask is ridiculous. He did the same thing to other people that came in and so it wasn’t just us. He had so many other things he could have directed his attention to that would have helped create a happier environment. To immediately initiate everyone’s welcoming to the bar by pestering them in an arrogant manner isn’t good service and was...
