I've waited a while to write this, but I came to French Nails back in the spring time, and I cannot get over my experience with one of the employees here. He was shorter with freckles, red hair and braces, 30ish. RIGHT off the bat he started hitting on me very hard. I kept being nice because I didn't really know how to handle the situation. Within 5 minutes of me being in the chair he was already insisting on me taking his number, very much hinting that we hook up, additionally going into details about why he's a great guy and his past dealings with hookups. I literally didn't know what to do as my options were either to continue playing nice so I could get out of there as fast as I could, or cause a scene by asking for a different employee to handle my pedicure and then have to stay there as this man still stood in the building. This made me wildly uncomfortable as the whole time he's touching my feet while coming onto me stronger than anyone else has in my life. He kept bragging about how he would never use his work to pursue women, but only when they're particularly attractive will he say anything, implicating that I'm special? Gross. When it was finally time to pay and leave he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him before I left saying something like "I know that I'll be seeing you very soon". After leaving I noticed that he was so busy trying to get into my pants that the gel polish on my whole right foot didn't get set properly, so I had a whole foot that kept having fuzz and such get stuck to my nails! I was so stunned by what happened that it wasn't even worth it to me to go back and tell them as I wanted nothing more than to never see him again. Overall, the place is clean and the prices are fair, and I can't speak on the other employees at the store but I am so disappointed to see something like this happen at a place that seemed to be a legit credible business. Left feeling so...
Read moreFirst, the appointment I had was not at this salon - this is entirely my fault. I got confused and thought the salon I booked was this one - my mistake. I didn't know what i wanted, i had pictures ready to show the clinician, but I felt rushed. I chose the dip, but the color I chose turned out the color wasn't available. So the color I had to choose was really ugly because there were no other colors left similiar to the one I wanted. However the caucasian technician I had was not welcoming whatsoever. He was rushed, treated my hands roughly, and I did not feel comfortable with him whatsoever. I could totally see that he just wanted to be done. He didn't even ask me if I wanted to add length to my nails. You can never make your client feel like that. When I found out the dip color was wrong, he gave me to choose more choices but he should have asked me what exactly am I looking for. He should have been attentive and attuned to what I really wanted, which was a baby pinkish white color. Therefore, I would have been able to change the nail service in order to get the color I wanted, but no. instead I got an ugly natural color that looked just like my nails. But what I disliked the most was the technician's customer service. You should make your client feel like they are welcomed and be sweet with them in order for them to come back. I like this salon, just not this technician. Please, manager, I hope you train your technicians to have a good customer service and know how to treat the customer. After I was done, I immeditaely went to the salon i originally booked to fix my nails because they were so ugly. The techinician at the other salon I went to really listened to what I wanted, gave me options of what I could choose from to make my nails look prettier, and told me if I didn't like them to tell...
Read moreOverall, this place is ok. All the staff are friendly but at my first, and only visit, I experienced a handful of things that I don't believe should happen at an established business. I called ahead of time to book appts for myself and niece. Pedicure only for myself and manicure only for her. However, they booked two pedicures and one manicure. This is a simple mistake so I didn't think much of it. However, when we arrived for our appts, and my niece refused the pedicure, they had a very hard time accepting this. They kept referring to what was written down (which was incorrect to begin with), and I kept having to say she does not want that service. I should've only had to say it once. When filing my toenails, the tech seemed oblivious to the fact that the edge of the filer kept rubbing over my cuticle. I now have a raw and painful big toe. My toenail was also cracked, and after I expressed that it stings, she kept scraping and soaking it. Very painful. They didn't let me pick my color!!! After filing my toenails, the tech just started painting my toenails with a color I never saw! At no point during the visit was I given the opportunity to pick out what color I wanted. Now, I recognize I should have stopped her and said something, but I was very taken aback by this. It was a definitely a color I never would have chosen for myself and I have no idea where it came from. I had even mentioned at one point, when the tech was filing, that I wanted a red color. She didn't say a word. I was charged significantly more than the prices listed on the website.
Again, overall this place was ok. Not the worst, and definitely not the best. Hopefully, these kinds of things start improving at French Nails. I myself will not be going back, and will not be recommending this...
