Great bead selection and turn around time. That being said, I wish the employee helping me would have spent more time assuring my necklace was the correct length instead of talking about the history of the shop. I get it, you love what you do but it was tough getting a word in.
Edit: Went back about a week ago when the cord on my necklace ripped. Obviously not the shop’s fault since I had purchased it elsewhere. Anyway, they asked me if I wanted it to be the same length. I said, “yes.” Noticed it was longer than I wanted it when I got home. So I went back in today and asked what length it was. A store associate raised her voice at me and asked “how long do you want it.” I told her 16.75 inches but still wanted to know what length it was currently at to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. Sure enough, it had been cut to 18 inches. Of course, I had to pay, again despite explaining that they had messed up last time. Overall, an unpleasant series of experiences I rather not go...
Read moreHarlequin Beads recently hosted a one day trunk show for our beads and so I had an opportunity to spend a whole day (10-6) with the wonderful woman of Harlequin Beads. I was blown away by how nice, helpful and committed they were to not just doing the typical customer service kinds of register things, but they sincerely wanted to help people with their creative projects. If people had questions on how to attach a bead, wire or chord they had helpful answers and even showed people how to progress their projects. I miss this kind of customer and community connection that Harlequin still really clearly cares about. If you need some beads, want to take some jewelry classes or get inspired for a new project, this is the bead shop to visit. (I have cross posted this review...
Read morePeople were friendly and helpful. Small place but is set up in a way they have much more than you see at first glance. There are drawers under the counters you can pull out. We had two children with us who were making purchases also with minimal money. The staff were very helpful in helping them find items. Cost as to be expected for real quality stones and Swarski beads. They had minimal items behind glass and even then they asked if I wished to see anything up close. There would be no room in the store to bring a cart in (stroller). They have no counter space to place your large personal items that would cover display cases. Other customers couldn't see items in the glass display cases with large...
