Very clean environment but expensive. Took my Grandaughter and she enjoyed it. When finished I was told they were running a little behind and would take a couple of weeks to pick up but would call. I never got a call so I went in to pick up. I gave him my ticket and said I never got a call, he immediately got a bit intense and saud nope slapped his hand on the wall at a sign apparently stating they dont call. This really caught me off guard as to why he would react so rude and aggressive. I stepped back and let my husband handle it. Grant it, I very well may have misunderstood given that was my first visit and didn't seen the sign - that literally I couldnt read from the counter anyways. It's really unfortunate but we won't return. Will go to Springfield in the future. Word of advice to this gentleman, maybe the reaction should have been..well let's get you your items and when handed off the finished items then politely informed the policy of a no call moving forward, so there's no...
Read moreVery poor communication and customer service. Took my 2 yr old daughter there sunday to paint an item for moms bday on monday. I was caught by surprise when it was time to pay, I find out that it will take 5 days to get it back. I didn't see any such statement on their website nor in their establishment. I asked if they dont mind calling me as soon as,its done because its for a bday. They assured me that they will call me as soon as it's ready. I was curious on Wednesday evening if it was ready so I called and the lady said that she loaded the oven the night before and doesn't remember my item. So, I asked if that means it's ready. She responded with "I guess.... it might be". This place is small, why can't she just look at the rack that's probably right next to her and check? And why no phone call that it's ready? Quite irritated with the poor communication and customer service. Gave an extra star because my daughter really enjoyed herself and I...
Read morePros: The studio is beautiful with vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and lots of tables to paint our ceramics on. We dropped in with a big party and they had loads of room for us. Lots of choices of unpainted ceramics. Nice quiet music. Wonderful open artistic feel to the place. Made everyone feel calm and creative. Cons: The people working there ignored us completely and we had to figure out how it worked on our own. (Pick your piece, pick your paint colors, paint your piece and put your name on the bottom using the very thin nozzled paints at the counter, place on the rack to dry for the kiln, pay for your items, pick them up another day after they are fired.) The ceramic pieces were very expensive. Mugs started at 35$. So plan ahead of you're doing a...
