When we heard of a new Asian/Korean restaurant opening up in the area, my family and I were excited to try it. We went in on Monday during dinner in late September and it seemed promising with customers seated and also waiting for pick up orders.
When we first walked in, we waited to be seated but no one greeted us and we had to flag down staff multiple times to put our name on the waiting list. Once we were finally sat down, we were given menus but no cutlery or waters to start. After looking over the menu, we waited another 20 minutes for staff to take our order as the staff kept walking around, helping other customers and bussing tables, completely ignoring us. The final straw for us was having the three parties behind us served first with utensils and water and had their order to out in. After 30 minutes of waiting and no assistance, we decided to just leave the restaurant. As we were leaving the parking lot, a worker chased us out and said that she didn't know that no our order wasn't taken and that she would rush to get our order in but at that point, we were already tired of just waiting and left.
We were very disappointed with our trip here as we were excited to try this place. We will try and give this place another shot later down the line as the lack of employee training could have been a factor as it was...
Read moreThis is a franchise or some sort of branded concept I think. When I was there I had found some website that sold the concept, but I can't presently find it.
Went around the time it opened. Waitstaff clearly weren't quite with the program yet. Some of the dishes were fine, but a lot of the stuff that was more prepared to order was pretty heavy and didn't have much flavor. One of the dishes had an absolutely excessive amount of a very neutral vegetable oil. If it had been a flavorful oil, it would have been tolerable; however, it was a clear and flavorless oil which was extremely off-putting. Tteokboki was fine, but I have not had bad tteokbokki, and I am pretty sure that this is because almost every restaurant gets the rice cakes, fish cakes, and sauce premade.
The interior still had pizza hut styling (and, in places, branding), which isn't really a big deal; however the lighting was very cold (4000K), bright, and harsh (there was glare from undiffused lighting on the food and dishes), which I find to be...
Read moreAuthentic korean food is made here. Friendly staff and the owner is so friendly. If you ask how they make the food, they will share it with you. Entrees come with all the standard korean side dishes. Coleslaw, daikon, kimchi, rice. Really good value for the entrees. They give you a lot, it's family style so you can share the entrees. I really love this place. I will frequent it a lot. I've already recommended it to two friends and we're going again in a few days. I will also bring any out of town visitors here. This is as close to korean food as you can get. It's clean in the restaurant, ADA compliant. The food is fresh and cooked well. If you just want to try korean food, try this place. If you know you already love korean food, support this business! They have two TVs on the wall. One has k-pop and one was running a...
