Accompanied my fiance when he ordered a custom tailored suit created just for him for our upcoming wedding in June, including a tailored bow tie and 3 tailored shirts. This began in January. We were contacted and came in during the first week of February when the suit arrived for the first fitting: we came in, made some adjustments, everything went well. They were exceptionally approachable, friendly, professional. Then we never heard back after we were told to expect a call to come in for the final fitting within 2 weeks, as those alterations were supposed to be completed. The pick up date for this was 2/18/2020. One month later COVID19 quarantine went into effect and not only were all of the existing orders (ours included) never followed up on AT ALL (and I mean zero contact made to get in touch with us) but there's no way for us to pick up the suit because they won't even let us get it shipped to us. We can still get married but as of now, he won't be able to get married in it, which was why we started the process 6 months early and was of course, the entire reason for the order.
I have contacted the customer service department via email, online chat, and through their Facebook page but they have yet to (a) accept any responsibility for not contacting us when the suit was finished, (b) provide us with any information regarding our order including whether those alterations are finished because the parent company does not keep track of the alterations done at the local store (!!!!!), or (c) offer any compensation or condolences whatsoever regarding their professional mishandling of this. And they haven't even updated the stores voicemail message yet so it still says they'll be closed until May 4th (3 days ago), which the customer service contacts offered no insight into s well. Next time he needs to spend $600 on a custom suit, we will go elsewhere if this continues to be handled in...
Read moreI came in about a month ago to rent a specific suit for my brother's wedding. After waiting for about 15 minutes in a nearly empty store without being greeted, an employee finally asked me what I was looking for. I explained that I was hoping to rent a suit for a wedding about a month away. It needed to be as specific suit to match the rest of the groomsmen.
Before I could show her the suit, she pointed out a blue suit and a gray tux and said that they were the only rentals available--not just in that location, but in the whole company. She told me that none of their competitors were renting out suits, either, and that there was absolutely nothing I could do except cross my fingers and check back in June (I leave for the wedding on June 10th).
I told the wedding party the bad news only to hear that everyone else had gotten measured and ordered their suits at other MW locations with no problems. One of them had done so shortly after I was told that I was out of luck.
After a day of stressing out over alternatives, I went online and ordered the suit rental from MW with no issue.
My visit to pick up the suit was fine. I did have to wait a bit, and several employees walked past me without saying anything, but it was otherwise a normal experience.
It was strange to be told that there was absolutely no way for me to place a rental order, only to do it myself with no issue. Since no one else in the wedding party had trouble at other locations, it really undermined my confidence in the location. As a result, I decided to measure myself instead of going in for measurements, and I chose to buy a dress shirt elsewhere instead of rolling...
Read moreMy fiancé was given gift cards to men's warehouse for his birthday. He has a few dress shirts, and a suit needing fitted but we thought we'd check out the location and get a couple new shirts before doing tailoring. We walk in a shorter gentleman asked "what're you looking for" in an aggressive way. We let him know we were just looking and went to the shirts. As we were looking the same man walked up asking us if we wanted help and we just said no thank you. After picking 2 shirts we go to the check out, he looks at the shirt, looks at my fiancé and says "do you know these are 2 different sizes. This one's a 16 and this is a 14 and a half. And honey I can tell by looking at you that you need the 14 and a half". I told him that was my bad I'll go swap them. I come back and hand him the shirt, the whole time he has a judemental look on his face. My fiancé asks about getting shirts fitted, he responded "fitted?? What do you even mean? like a suit?" He informed the employee that he was interested in tailoring and he said "well depends on what you want". He clearly was unwilling to engage in conversation and rude. We have the gift card out and says "oh you got a gift card. Give me that". This was an awful experience for no reason. I can tell from the other reviews many of the employees at this location are rude, condescending, and judgemental. Making people feel bad about their weight whether they are heavier or skinny is ridiculous. People come to you to make them feel confident in their clothes and employee are making them feel bad...
