The inside of this place is really nice. The food performance seems neat. The gin mojito was a great balance of sweet and sour. The mint was fresh and added great flavor. The fried foods are really greasy. The squid was a bit chewy. The miso was good though. The edamame was pretty great, tasted fresh and had a great balance of salt. I got the tropical hiko sushi roll. It was pretty overwhelmed with sauce, the spicy salmon was ground salmon. I really dislike that squishy texture. The bento box was a steak teriyaki. The steak was well done, as in not good. It was chewy. The teriyaki sauce has potential. It was a good mix of sweet and savory. The fried sides were greasy and some things (like broccoli) should be left unfried. The rice was made well. The fried spring rolls were made pretty well. If you see my hand, it was overly greasy too though. Fried foods really do take some technique and care which isn't there. For the price, this place is sincerely lacking. A lot.

We have been here twice. Once for Hibachi and recently for dinner. We have heard there is usually a 10 to 15 minute wait but both times we did not have to wait at all! The Hibachi was SUPER FUN! The staff they have selected for this service are VERY talented and entertaining! Be prepared to laugh and look over a huge menu with even different dietary options such as gluten free, vegetarian and vegan! There drink menu is just as ample offering everything from soft drinks, tea, sake, cocktails, beer and wine! This venue is always clean, the staff prompt, friendly and professional. I will say there bathrooms are a bit of a mess with stalls missing toilet paper or debris on the floors. Aside from that this is the perfect place to bring your friends for an entertaining night filled with authentic delicious good and any drink they could want regardless of any dietary restrictions they may have! (The veggie udon noodle was to die for!!!)

We have made it a family affair to come to Fuji for many years . Tonight we decided to grab a couple orders of there crazy rabbit rolls . What a disappointment from the very little service to the rolls . First confronted about a tip on the receipt when it was brought out . Since when do they ask for a tip ? Especially when it’s a pick up order. We generally tip well unless it’s asked for . Then they smothered the sushi rolls with so much sauce they weren’t even edible and soggy. You couldn’t taste what we were eating. All the good waiters gone only to be left with barking beggars with no customer service skills . $30 plus a unearned tip for food that went in the trash . This place has gone down hill and fast !! We definitely do not recommend this restaurant! We won’t be dining in or dining out here ever again. So sad this place was once the best .

Originally sat at the bar since I was dining by myself and didn't want to take up a larger table. Ordered my dinner and waited for my food to come. When the bartender came back with the first course I asked to be moved to a table since the seats were so uncomfortable. The server promptly picked up my drink and usurer me to the closest table which was great except he left me on my own to transport my soup, salad and water... what ever. I waited tables, I know how to carry multiple items at a time. When my main course arrived the beef was cold, the scallops were cold, the shrimp portion of the habachi meal was short and cold as well. The only thing above room temp. was the fried rice. I should have known better than to eat room temp seafood but I decided to get this place the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake... Any way, towards the end of my meal, I found a chuck of plastic wrap stuck to one if the pieces of beef. A minute later the server finally came back to see how my food was and I gave him the plastic and aksed him to let the kitchen know it had gone out plated with dinner. Again, not the worst thing that could happen. Shortly after the bartender stopped by and presented me with my tab. First time I had seen him since he moved me to a table. I paid and left. Before I reached my car the consequences of eating this meal began to become increasingly apparent... thank the gods there was a restroom between me and my car! I immediately regretted my decision to eat the cold seafood and can feel nothing but empathy to the person in the bathroom stall next to me. While the tragedy went on, the lesson learned has been clear. Avoid this place and make sure to never eat room temp. seafood regardless of a...

For me personally, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a Japanese steakhouse. Lets start with my interaction with the hostess. I walked in, and she was wearing leggings, and a crop top tank top, with her belly hanging out. She was chewing on her necklace, and her greeting was not friendly at all. So clearly this place of business has no standard for how their employees groom and or present themselves. Not appetizing. Plus her attitude was shockingly rude. She didn't want to seat my boyfriend and I at the last table they seated in the hibachi grill area, even though there was room and they had just been seated, might I add. So we didn't get to be seated there. We then got seated in the back of the restaurant with little to no lighting, and barely any interaction with the employees. We still ordered our hibachi meals, and when they came quality was questionable. All of the food was cold (I don't like cold steak) and it all tasted like the miso soup they serve. The only interaction I was pleased with, was the very nice gentleman who served my boyfriend and I. I tipped him a $20, because there's no reason he should suffer because of everybody else and their low standards. All in all, you're better off going to the roadhouse across the...

Fiji Japanese Steakhouse has earned its place as one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Eugene. Whether I’m dining in for the full hibachi experience or picking up a meal to enjoy at home, the quality and consistency never fail to impress.

One of my top recommendations is the hibachi gluten-free salmon—it's always perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Their fried rice is equally exceptional, complementing the main dish with its rich taste and satisfying texture. The lunch deals are also fantastic, offering great value without compromising on quality. Even at dinner, the prices remain reasonable, making it a go-to spot for a delicious, high-quality meal.

The team at Fiji Japanese Steakhouse truly knows how to deliver a consistently great experience. Each visit is marked by attentive service, expertly prepared food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a quick pick-up or an immersive hibachi experience, you can expect nothing less than excellence.

Overall, Fiji Japanese Steakhouse stands out as a top dining destination in Eugene. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a consistently delicious meal at a fair price. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite restaurants...
