I have been shopping at JC Penney since I was a kid and I hope that they are going to be in business for many years to come. This has to be my favorite store for clothing, household goods and much more, oh yes, the Salon products, like Shampoo and Conditioner!! I think that they have some of the best pricing on everything. There is always a good sale going on and now you can shop online and get it delivered to the store for pickup, for even less money! Pickups and Returns are so easy to do. You can park almost at the curb and run in. It is right there, just go through the doors! I like that, especially if I'm in a hurry. They will also take your bags down to that area so that you don't have to carry them while continuing to shop. That's good service! There is an elevator that is wheelchair accessible. Otherwise, an escalator takes you to the upper floor. I have found that I can get everything I need or want from their store, except for groceries! You can also pay your credit card bill at any register. If you are a Rewards Member, with each purchase whether online or in the store, you get points towards rewards like $10 off of anything. That's like getting a free shirt or whatever. It really helps to bring down your total cost on a purchase. I bought my Granddaughter a $120 jacket yesterday and after all the discounts and the $10 reward, I paid a total of $25!! Can you believe that?!! That's one of the reasons that I have continued to shop there. The only downfall that I have found is I don't think that they have enough registers and it can be difficult to find a Salesperson. I usually pay at the Pickup and Return register bcuz the line is shorter and I can park so close. It is very easy to get in and out of there in a quick manner if you are in a hurry. I Love this store and I think a lot of people do also. They have anything and everything you...
Read moreI must admit my caregiver and I were flustered. We passed several employees on the 2nd floor in groups chatting away. We needed help. Not one offered any assistance. Being I'm a low vision person using a long stick (white cane with red tip) I'm use to being ignored by store personal when needed assistance. Because of the chaos of covid and high turn around often caregivers are new and not use to this treatment of being ignored. Usually I keep my shopping only to my neighborhood but because I had exhausted stores in my neighborhood for the color towels I needed for that bathroom I had to search elsewhere and because it is very seldom that (even without covid) to be able to go anywhere out of neighborhood. (I had waited 7 months to do this shopping trip) So, this was a special day. After a hour a wonderful sales gal who we found out has a family disabled members stepped forward in towels and helped us. Just as we were getting ready to say forget it, this isn't worth it and leave the store. I wish we would have gotten her name! She helped us get what I needed! Then finding a cashier station open was another chore and a 1/2 hour long line wait. We made it back to my house with 2 minutes to spare but by the time she finished her paperwork she worked 15 minutes free. Thank You to the lovely floor sales lady who finally helped because she understood that people with disabilities need assistance not ignored by...
Read moreDon't bother purchasing jewelry here. I had a terrible experience with my wedding ring set in June, only to to back to another store recently and find out they had messed up further. I ordered two wedding bands from an associate about a month before my wedding and the associate got the store address and my name wrong on the order, so two weeks later when they arrived in town they were marked undeliverable and sent back. Because they were in transit I was forced to purchase two more bands and complete the online order myself to ensure they would arrive on time for the wedding. In the mean time I called daily asking for an update on when I would be refunded and how the issue would be rectified, and I was told over and over a manager would call but she never did. So today, I went in to a different store in a different state to resize the bands and the associate there informed me that my original return was not processed correctly and they didn't add a care plan for both bands. Thankfully Michael at the Tacoma JCP Jeweler was endlessly kind and patient enough to figure out the Eugene store's mistake and make it right for me. The folks in Eugene could stand to take some customer service lessons from the Tacoma store...or anywhere for that matter. Seriously, just go to Macy's or Fred Meyer in Eugene for your fine jewelry. The headache isn't worth...
